I don't mind Jasper Carrot not being dead.

I assume his name is not really carrot? Sorry, wrong thread.

He's definitely the odd one out in that list. Decent bloke, if a Blues fan.

When Lucy Davis found fame in The Office and it became public knowledge that Jasper was her dad, she expressed amazement about the number of people asked who her why she’d changed her name.

Noel Edmonds lives in NZ somewhere. I have not met him. He'd probably just make one last, fatal, Mr Blobby joke.

I went to see Jasper Carrott live at Lincoln Ritz many many years ago, when they had a funny little run of comedy stand ups playing there for some reason. Couldn't drive you see being only 15 /16 so were a bit ham-strung gigs unless we could tag along with someone's siblings to go to Rock City and could blag the fake id.

Also saw Lenny Henry, Rik Mayall and Phil Cool around that time.

Phil Cool there's another one. At a stretch.

Jasper Carrott played 2 weeks at The Haymarket when I worked there many years ago. He was a very nice man. His tour manager was a bit of a cock though.

I can't ever remember laughing so much as I did watching the Phil Cool show on (I think) ITV

Good carrot, bad cock? Wasn't that the names of 'the detectives'?

That was a cracking sitcom that deserves more re-runs. Also the Australian Car Insurance bit he did is one of my favourite pieces of stand-up. Big Carrott fan here and pleased to hear Rave thought him a decent egg.

On Russ Abbott, wasn't the whole joke meant to be that he was a bit naff and not massively funny, which in turn made it funny.

    Think that’s a generous reading.

Saw your book on the shelf at West Bridgford Waterstones Pete. It gets front and centre in the sports section but someone (not me I hasten to add) had ripped the jacket.

I haven't yet but can go back. Which crime are you referring to? The ripped book jacket or the grooming of kids that google seems to have conveniently forgotten?
