Bidding for Feyenoord full back Givairno Read, who is 20 and was injured a lot last year. Kephrem Thuran and Santiaho Castro rumours are cooling. Not a lot else.

Newcastle and Man U interested in Neco
I think Neco may go to Man U, and we get Ian Maatsen from Villa. Maatsen probably available for 30 or 40, has been on our radar before and fits the attacking profile of a Glasner wing back. He is hit and miss though. I would be sad to see Neco leave in the same window as Anderson but he would probably want to go if Man U came in and if they are prepared to pay a lot of money it sort of makes sense.
He's a Liverpool boy and he probably hates the Scum. Besides he is the process of signing a new contract so you can give up on that one.
Nice try though.
We shall see what Vibes Glasner has when the team reports back at the end of next week.
Chicago: More in the know.
Why would he? And no it doesn't.
He starts every game in a team that should progress well this year with a manager that should work for his strengths. And you want to make no progress with a player for similar money who isn't bedded in and isn't as good?
I don't want it, no. But I can see how him wanting to move to a club with a legitimate claim to be the biggest in the world, who are in the champions league and on the up could be hard to resist. It's not quite the same as Morgan to Spurs last year.
They'll be having street parties in Leeds
Palace are trying to sell Mateta to Fenerbahce.
Agreement with us and Liverpool on Curtis Jones, but it doesn't seem like he is all that happy with the idea of joining us.
Given his failed medical in January, don't want him. And you'd think Glasner would have a reasonable amount of insight into the reason.
If he's available at a discount because of that and the contract and there's any chance we could get him fit, it's a gamble I'b be prepared to take. It's going to be hard to get a centre forward who can do what Wood does and job-share with him, he's probably one of the more realistic options. I haven't seen any real sign that we are trying anymore with this one though.
Let's also be realistic about where he is and where we are: he has made the cut for an enormously talented France squad for this world cup and that probably suggests the injury isn't all that and he has something left and we would be doing very well to get him.
