My concern with Delap is that apart from his 12 goals in 40 appearances at Ipswich, his goal record, even in the Championship, is poor, his injuries are a worry, and he looks like he lost his head at Chelsea. I wouldn't completely write him off and if he can get it together and realise even part of the hype he has high upside potential in terms of increasing value because he is English and a centre forward and we don't have many good ones of them coming through. But he could be the new Connor Wickham, Francis Jeffers etc who completely fades away and ends up in the lower leagues when his hype is fully spent.

Mateta would be a lot better. He is more ready made and can do more stuff that Chris Wood does. Delap is more like Igor Jesus.

Athletic says we've had a £20M bid for an Israeli winger called Anan Khalaili turned down by Union Saint-Gilloise.

    Does Glasner develop players?

Think quite a few of that Palace team are more highly regarded now than they were when he joined - Wharton, Sarr, Mateta, Richards, Munoz, arguably Olise and, to a greater extent, Eze.

    BrettWilliams and Psychobel like this.

At least one of those articles this morning suggested the club wanted Taiwo to stay, and that he was very popular.

And him and Igor are the best at Table Tennis - maybe we are opening a table tennis team too - double threat

We are in the era where if you have a monumental number of twatter followers, or are a brilliant social secretary for the dressing room, you can have a good football career. Without too much of that running about and kicking malarky.

We can sell the table tennis team to the netball team and earn another Anderson.

I thought Taiwo was done at this level after his big injury, but I think he showed in his starts against Newcastle and Chelsea at the back end of last season that he may be recovering fitness close to what he had before, and he carries more of a presence and goal threat than many. Like all options, it depends what the alternatives are. If we can get a top quality striker to challenge Wood and Jesus for the start and anybody wants Taiwo then it would make sense to let him go.

Ndoye looked comfortable playing on the left in the WC. I only remember him playing on the right for us (although I might not have been paying complete attention at all times).

Milenkovic is decent at basketball as well. They did a challenge last year and he kicked everyone's arse.

Played on the left when he came on v Fulham, which was probably his most threatening performance.

Sangare has signed a new deal until 2029. Excellent stuff.

We're supposedly buying someone called Gustavo Sa from a club in Portgual that I've never heard of for €20M, and loaning him to Oly.

That's a big value for someone taking that route. But I tend to assume these transfers are cash neutral for us and are just an accounting dodge.

Chelsea signing Danny Welbeck is weird.
