But Tuchel thinks Eze is better and he only plays half the games.

If we do lose MGW and Anderson, that’s a fuck lot of responsibility on Syrianos’s shoulders (presumably) and who’s the negotiator? Just Marinakis?
I saw this on the BBC gossip page, but I think they've got the wrong end of the stick, at least re: PSG being interested. The original story suggests that both Arse and PSG want Rogers, and Arsenal see MGW as an alternative if Rogers chooses PSG. It isn't mentioned in the article but have seen suggestions that Villa see MGW as a Rogers replacement too.
Whereas it makes the relegation hairs on the back of my neck go "noo noo noo".
I never really understand why fans say things like this. It isn't your money you'd be banking and it's not like championship manager where it goes all on some simplistic transfer budget. All it means is we will have a worse player in the MGW shaped hole it would leave, because there is no chance at all we would be able to sign anybody as good to replace him next season if he left. As we've seen, spending £30m plus on a signing is no guarantee at all of any quality and without his goals last season we would have got relegated.
A chunk would go to Wolves too.
If teams like Arsenal and PSG really do come asking then he will leave eventually, but we really don't want that happening at the same close season we look likely to be losing Anderson if we can possibly help it.
It's something to prepare and plan for, and that may be what the long term plan for McAtee was, but that has not yet turned out to be a plan which we can say with much confidence looks likely to work. A very very good realistic development signing in this area might be Harvey Elliot who is probably available at a discount and, after just one dodgy season on loan at Villa and only 23, has extremely high upside potential. He fits the profile for an eventual succession plan, but I still wouldn't trust him - or anyone realistically available to us - to replace MGW yet.
No, you really don't. And yet still comment. If two of the richest clubs in the world are after a player then the price is likely to be even higher. That's it. You hopefully understand that if they offer silly money then we will sell, and the player will want to leave to one of the Champs League finalists. If Villa come in with 60M and we sell then I'll be pissed off. If Arsenal come in at 80M then it's not so bad.
Shit. DNFTT.
Yes my point is that's not good on any view, because Forest will be weaker for it. I think we can probably weather losing Anderson or MGW, but not both at the same time and how much money we would paid for the inconvenience is not really relevant. If it was 60m or 80m or 100m doesn't really make any difference. Wolves will take 10 to 15% as well.
The statement about it being "not your money" isn't valid in a world of financially restrictive rules.
If Marinakis was free to put in whatever money he wanted then he could make up the difference, but he can't.
I think MGW has triggered all of the add-ons in the original transfer which puts it up to a total of £42million. Wolves get 10% of any profit on top of that. You can do the maths but it’s not consequential (£2-4m depending on sale price).
Selling him now for £80m or even anything above that would not be good for the club or any fans of the club, other than those who prefer life in the championship. It would be more than a thump in the stomach and of everyone in our squad the player we would miss most. Not comparable to losing Brennan or Elanga or Wood or Murillo or even Anderson in my opinion. He will go eventually, but we aren't good enough to take it at this moment.
I’m not going to debate that. I was merely pointing out that your assessment of Wolves’ cut was wrong.
Sooner or later he's going to go. There's only so many times you can chain them to radiators, and deny them a phone call.
Boy George is sad.
Terry Waite is glad.
That would be an ecumenical matter.
Well we don't really know that for sure, the point is they get something.
But my bigger concern is whatever we get is not enough to compensate for his value to us right now. When we sell MGW I'd like us to have a solid mid-table squad with a few player capable of getting double figure goal returns, and at least someone else who can consistently create.
Speaking of MGW I happened to have SSN on earlier and he was being interviewed in Monaco.
Thankfully at the F1 rather than the football club.
