The Douglas Luiz of two years ago looks decent from this showreel. He was voted Villa's player of the year in 2022/23 by both supporters and players. Hadn't realised he was their penalty-taker, too, which is interesting in a team with Ollie Watkins.

I would probably emphasise his 5 years in the Premier League, during which time Villa established themselves as a serious Premier League team, over one year in Italy. Everything is a risk, but he has real pedigree in our league.
