Protestations? I just agreed that he pronounces it Dan Doy from the WhatsApp video and that's what we should do. I was questioning Jake writing the pronunciation DanDo, not how the player himself says it.
I'm confused about what exact point you are trying to make with those quotes. They agree and are not at all contradictory. I think you are misunderstanding something.
What do you think I said, that I then corrected myself on?
If you go back and read the posts, you'll see I was not questioning how the guy says his own name. That would be ridiculous. I was questioning how we are phonetically writing it out i.e. Jake and my own interpretation, in writing, of the sounds that came out of Dan NDoye's mouth when speaking his own name.
I kind of feel like Jimbo has been baited into arguing a nothing-point with a bunch of middle-aged men while on holiday abroad with his family. I've got visions of an irked Mrs Shady telling him to put his phone down sharpish before she throws it in the hotel pool.
Yes. That's me agreeing with Jake that the N at the start of his surname is not pronounced, as evidenced by listening to him saying it himself, but I then am giving a different way of phonetically writing it - I think Dan Doy is a better representation than DanDo as Jake offered.
Your point was that I was protesting that he is pronouncing his own name incorrectly, which clearly I am not doing.
I think you might need to read things better before trying to get some cheap jibes in.
Newcastle have turned down 110M for Isak from Liverpool who have now said they're not increasing the bid, leaving Newcastle holding a very unhappy player. They're having a nightmare of a window.
