I have only noticed positive things, but I haven't really been paying close attention so I'm happy to be corrected.
I'm not convinced that McAtee will suit us. But he played all the U21 games, some as captain I think (?) and was MoTM in the final - so I think it's hard to begrudge a £35m price tag.

Morgan Gibbs-White has not travelled with the #nffc squad to Portugal today - this is due to a private and personal matter completely unrelated to football. MGW is expected to join up with the team later this week.
His missus has some complications with pregnancy.
Official now.

We close to signing 6+ players yet?
Closer than we were yesterday.
Not quite sure that’s true. Ndoye seems to be the one that’s the closest. And Bologna have not accepted any bids from us.
He also apparently got fouled 20 seconds into their last pre-season friendly and was withdrawn three minutes later. I'd imagine that needs to be assessed quite quickly.
Chronologically speaking it is. And tomorrow we'll be closer still.
I'm sure we won't miss a broken leg.
I asked ChatGPT to summarise our incomings over the last few seasons for some context. It's interesting. We have signed more players later in the window than I thought. So I'll not be a dick and agree with Brid's overly aggressive messaging that I need to chill a bit. Whilst still thinking that we are behind where we should be, again, especially given we are in Europe. But then again we're starting from a higher baseline which is a factor.

I think we can all agree 2022 was an anomoly that is unlikely to be repeated. So what that shows me is in 2023, we'd signed two players by the end of July (Wood was just the paperwork turning his loan into a permanent signing); in 2024 we'd signed 5 but only 2 of them went into our first team (Stamenic instantly went on loan and Moreira is halfway between the b and first team squads). We've currently signed two. So we're currently about normal, a bit ahead if we can get one or two more in by the end of next week.
Interesting though that our better signings are the ones made earlier in the window. Obviously a few exceptions.
