    Jair to follow.

Seems Newcastle are talking to Forest about Elanga but Forest might not be talking to Newcastle so looks like Antony will probably pop up for training on Monday.

    Yipppppeeee.

I'm going to watch them at Chesterfield next Saturday. I'm expecting a youth side, but would be great to see a brief glimpse of the new lad (unless he's still on holiday, of course).

I would imagine Igor qnd Cunha would be on holiday with Anderson (not together). Would have been nice to see Bindon before he fucked off to Sheffield but alas I think it is already done.

Might see Miquel in action though! Although if the Chelsea goalkeeper recruit is playing you would assume that Murillo’s mate probably is heading out.

Chicago: Still too hot to care.

He turned us down last year. Also I think the caveat is that we would go for him if Elanga leaves. He is a talent for sure but I would rather keep Antony if I had the choice . Both would be ace but I don’t think the Belgy chap would accept that as he seems a bit maverick if you know what I mean.

The next seven days will tell us a lot.

Chicago: Trying to stay out the heat.

Birmingham are having an unreal transfer window. I'm not a betting man, but they have to be close to favourites to win the Champ - Demarai Gray, Tommy Doyle, Bright Osayi-Samuel, and now Kyogo Furuhashi. That team is going to be so much fun to watch.

If you watch the championship. I have to admit since we left I haven’t watched more than one minute other than perhaps a few moments of the play off finals.

    Chicago: Elite.

Bakayoko is also being talked about as a potential alternative candidate for Newcastle in the event that they don’t sign Elanga. I prefer that scenario personally.

Depends if Elanga's head has been turned. If it has - and you'd expect it would have been by a larger club in the Champions League paying higher wages - I'm never convinced by the wisdom of keeping players around who'd rather be somewhere else.

I understand we're a middle-man club and so this would apply to any of them looking to progress, but the difference with Elanga is that concrete offers have been put on the table.

Generally the best outcome in this sort of situation involves getting the right price, and everyone moving on. Elanga has done his time with us. The market thinks so, he thinks so, it's just about putting a good number to it and we will think so too.

Getting into bizarre arguments with people suggesting Jesus is more likely to replace Elanga than Wood and I'm thoroughly confused.
He's a striker first, and we should be looking to upgrade on Wood.
    Surely?

I suppose that works if you look at the end of the season when CHO was out and Elanga played a bit more centrally/across the pitch. Still far from like for like.

Some pundit or other was suggesting that Jesus and Wood could make a good striking pair. Jesus does the work dropping deep and tends to go to the near post, Wood likes to arrive at the far post.
