Reports we have bid for Rico Lewis. Well bloody hell bid on the right player Forest. Nicko O’Reilly Is twice the player and apparently available. Yes I know they have the same hair you giant racists but Nicko Is the one with the facial ticks (see our Jota) and the much greater physical and footballing ability.

What is the recruitment team doing!!!

    Chicago: Winning at Football manager.

Christ, that’s a lot of rant based on “reports”…

Jacob Ramsey to Newcastle looks to be happening. Would have been nice but probably not for the money.

Rico Lewis is a fine player but I'm not convinced he'd be a good fit for our style as either a full back or defensive midfielder.

They'd want about £70m for O'Reilly I would guess. Despite what you've written , I've seen nothing to suggest he's available. Not happening.

Lewis? Maybe £25-30m. More possible. But it's a no from me.

Miguel speaking to Palmeiras. Interesting to see whether we sign another keeper or if we’re brave enough to believe Sels, Gunn, Bott is enough. Big vote of confidence in Bott, if so.

At least we'll be able to say that we have the 3 goalkeepers with the shortest surnames in the league or something

But that can’t be right. We only buy & sell players from Botafogo & Lyon. Steve Parish told me so.

I think O"reilly is going to be pushed out by the new signings which there seem to be many. Rated Around 40 Million but i would take that chance and yes i rate him very very highly. He basically kept Elanga very frustrated in the semi lob on final and is pretty dynamic going forward too. I would be all over that.

Not as big fan of the England player Rico Lewis as I dunno doesn't seem robust enough for us. I have been wrong before and will be again. Anyway, looks like we bid for Bakwa again who might be Elanga mark 2 so all maybe be moot.

    Chicago: Very calm.

No doubt about that. Everyone does. He's going to be a star. I read last season that he's really seen as a number 10, but Pep was so desperate to get him into the team they put him in as, nominally, a left back. Be surprised if he's not in the England team within 2-3 years.

Just checked and in order to play in a game, a player has to be registered by 12 on the last working day beforehand. Obviously, registered <> announced, and it may well have already happened, but does mean they can register McAtee (and others?) tomorrow morning and he/they can play against Brentford.

Why would you want to rush anyone straight into the team if they haven’t even trained with the others?

Was thinking more about putting him on the bench. Have you seen our likely bench without him?

    A lot of defenders?
    I expect
Sels; Aina, Williams, Murillo, Milenkovic; MGW, Anderson; Hudson-Odoi, Jesus, Ndoye; Wood. (I'd prefer Sangare in midfield and MGW at 10, with Jesus on the bench)
Subs: Gunn, Cunha, Morato, Boly, Sangare, Yates, Jota, Awoniyi, and probably Moreira or Abbott (unless Dominguez is fit)
