Brighton have offered £30m for some 17 yo Olympiacos striker. Would seem odd if EM let that happen at any price.
Unless he's scamming them.
I trust Brighton’s ability to spot a player, whether through scouting or data, they are pretty reliable. (Oly have turned down that offer.)

Think it’s been reported that he’s going to have talks with every club that expresses an interest (which seems very sensible). So there’ll probably be a series of these reports as he works his way round the division.

European football, we have a style that would suit him and he can develop further. If he’s good enough he will then get a move.

There's as good a chance of us being in a relegation fight as in the top half next season. What we do have going for us in his position is that he must fancy his chances of playing regularly. Probably depends a bit how much he backs himself. Does he think he can break straight into the Chelsea team? The Spurs team? Or does he think he needs a couple of 'intermediate' seasons before the 'big club'. Being a striker he's probably a very confident person, so I don't think he'll feel he needs the intermediate move.
I think he has enormous potential...but I am concerned the current cost outweighs his likely direct immediate value. I would be looking to phoenix a currently flawed development prospect, rather than be the ones that suffered the cost impact of stuttering of development (work with
BigT, Evan Ferguson). I think Rhian Brewster is a free agent at the end of the season?Or an old one that definitely works. Who is the next Chris Woods? (Danny-Welbeck-a-like).
I thought his release clause was something like £30m that doesn't sound a massive risk compared to the potential. But I suppose we would have to offer big wages too
