Not really. A few days after journalists have said its done, to get you worried/ hopeful, is pretty common for transfers this early in the window.

For example, the club has confirmed Sosa today but I'm pretty sure reliable journalists were saying last week it was going to happen.
Is it? I wouldn't expect to see anything official until the deal is formally completed and both clubs coordinate their comms with farewell and thanks / welcome to the Toon fluff.
I'm still waiting for an NEP update on our long-term pursuit of Kamil Grosicki.
It feels like it's been long overdue.
Jordan Henderson leaves Ajax on a free. We were previously linked with him.
I'd very much rather we didn't.
I can't stand the bloke, and he should not be in the England squad, but as experienced holding midfielders go it's hard to argue that he wouldn't benefit our already thin squad.
I will listen to that argument when Ryan Yates is not starting most games on the bench. We have Yates, Sangare, Dominguez and Anderson competing for the two midfield spots that Henderson would play.
Sunderland would seem a suitable destination for him.
Presumably that is Richard's at the back? Honestly couldn't tell you. Maybe he's up for the Toffolo role this year.

Richard’s what? And who is Richard?
Athletic says Spurs are going to try and sign MGW
Spurs apparently looking to swoop in for MGW.
Spurs after MGW.
I do hope we, and he, tell them to go fuck themselves. Surely he doesn't want to go there.
So Spurs, Chelsea, Arsenal and United essentially hoovering up all the premier league talent. The big six are establishing themselves at the expense of the next 6-10 clubs. It’s increasingly irritating.
Spurs have just agreed a deal for Kudus and are in for Wissa. They already have Maddison and Kulusevski. MGW will not be their main guy…
