Can we keep him on just for vibes as the kids say? Maybe some sort of mental health / mascot / coaching contract.

Could keep him on purely for footballing reasons. A perfectly decent left back with the right attitude.

I thought that, but didn't want to say it in case I appeared stupid.

He may actually prefer to move on if he's not going to get regular game time, I don't think he'd have much trouble finding another top flight club.

He'd be a good candidate for a promoted side (solid, experienced, good egg). Can't think of an established top flight club that would be looking at someone with his profile. Personally I think he's still decent value (financially and what he offers to the squad) for us.

Having a spare left back is ingrained in many forest fans as being virtually impossible.

He’s perfectly serviceable and has jumped ahead of Moreno. If they both go we will have to sign one as cover for Neco anyway. But if he was signing I’d have thought it would be done by now.

The Telegraph reckons that Newcastle and Man U both want Delap. I suspect lack of European football will be a problem for Man U's recruitment this summer and they may have to focus a bit more on domestic players than top end continental players.

Paul Taylor says that Forest are confident that they won't need to make a big sale this summer to stay inside PSR, that MGW won't make enough profit for them to listen to any offers given his importance to the club, and that it will take a fuck off silly bid for them to consider selling any of our other stars.

Unless they are selling Isak, Newcastle doesn’t seem like the best place for Delap - wouldn’t be picked ahead of Isak, isn’t going to play with him. He’d be first choice at ManU, at least. And they could still be in the champions league.

To be fair there's still a very good chance they'll qualify for the CL through the Europa League.

I presume he has some link to Manchester too given he was at the City academy.

Started at Derby, so East Mids link there.

Newcastle are going to be in the CL though, and Isak can't play every game on his own. There will be plenty of game time for him there.
