I saw him in the flesh at Stoke in December. He was very good and looked classy, did far more than you can see on the TV. To play as many games in the championship as a teenager is pretty good going. It’s a good move for him, much better than getting hammered every week in the PL.

And did us no harm at all in 1998.

Think I read it's going to be some sort of coaching/player contract?

Perhaps he can do the third choice keeper/goalkeeping coach role?

I know you're joking, but they're already discussing a new contract for Hennessey in that role.

I actually think Toff’s was hard done to. When Aina was struggling Harry who had a couple of solid outings with some stellar play mixed in should have kept his place until everyone was ready. Or just kept his place on merit. Popular fellow with the rest of the players too.

I am not privy to training but I think Nuno didnt do right by him by continuing to trust in his ability to perform.

    Just an observation.

Let’s see who comes in his place. (Brazilian lad?)

    Chicago: Man Manager.

Toff is clearly a top bloke & he has rarely let us down - we should certainly wish him well - but I think describing him as “hard done to” is stretching it quite a long way. He’s a solid player, but in comparison with Neco - let alone Renan Lodi & similar - he’s limited. One brilliant goal-line clearance at Spurs does not change the fundamental facts; we can do better, & the way clubs progress is by gradually increasing the standard of their players.

There’s also the fact that he will be 30 by the start of the season, & he strikes me as the sort of guy who is going to want to play for the next few years, not get splinters in his arse - so even if offered a deal (& we don’t know he wasn’t) would he have taken it? He played 4 games last season.

If he ever comes back to the CG, Toff will get a deservedly warm reception, but let’s not kid ourselves that the club are somehow letting a gem through their fingers just because we all like him, eh?

Reports that Lyon have agreed to give us €8M for Turner, so clearly Textor isn't that upset about the letter to UEFA.

It's a little ironic that our relationship to Lyon seems closer than Palace's.

You can see some sort of investigation in a few years giving us a huge fine and points deduction.

…no doubt reporting several years before we finally hear anything about Citeh’s 115, or however many it is.

Now reported in the Athletic (because they always get over-excited about anything to do with the USMNLBTQAICMNT+).

Less than we paid for him, but a PSR profit; win! Who would have predicted that Odi & Turner would generate anything more than a packet of sherbet lemons, let alone yer akshul profit?

We'll be an established 'Sky 7 (8?)' club who do what we want by then.

Brighton are signing that Greek striker from Oly for £34M. If he's that good I'm not sure why we weren't involved.
