It's wank. It's all about money and branding football around the big clubs, undermining national leagues, and another nail in the coffin of community football.

The whole thing can get fucked as far as I'm concerned. I won't be watching, and I don't care about it one jot.

Unfortunately the audience that has nothing to do with representative football will lap it up, and make it successful (eventually), and further undermine the historic roots of the game in favour of state/corporate interests. It's not what I'm in the game for. But I'm a dinosaur with no agency compared to the far east betting markets.

So long, and thanks for all the fish.

That was my whole point. They say they are offering free streaming of the event but only if you pay a fee per month or year which obviously means anything other than free. Only wanted to see the Botafogo players. Heard there might be a fouth player (winger) who was on loan with Lyon who might be worth a shout too.

Sad about Barry personally. I think he could have been a fucking great player for us if given the time. We bought him for 16 million quid, so not much of a profit. Turner though for any money would be riotiously funny...

    Chicago: Still thinking about Aouar.

Turner is not terrible at the waving the hands around stuff. Can't kick.

    Yeah accountancy again!

We bought him 3 years ago on a 5 year deal?

So we've amortised 16/5 or a bit over 3m per year, 9m to date. So his value in our books is 7m (16-9) and that's the reference point for the amount of profit. So selling him for 20m gives us 13m (20-7) profit.

Sounds like Cherki is going to Man City (Romano says he's agreed terms). Attacking midfielder, so does that mean Morgan stays?

Fab saying the 3 Brazilians is sealed for 35m euros.

It's hard not to get just a little excited when Brazilians are signing for you isn't it.

It's also going to give me a modicum of interest in the Club World Cup (presuming some of them play before coming to the UK?).

35m euros seems surprisingly cheap given one of them is supposed to be the brightest young Brazilian centre half and one of the others had a bid from Brighton.

You would also assume they aren't on big salaries. Maybe there are big sell on clauses

Apparently FIFA have cut ticket prices again for the Club WC and they're now 16% of what they were originally asking. There is a legitimate concern that the stadiums will be empty, which honestly shocks me - I can't believe they aren't sleeping on the pavement overnight to get tickets for Inter Miami v Al Ahly.

Textbook footballease. Any mentions of 'linking up with'?
