There's an error in this - if Chelsea win the Conference League (3rd comp), that qualifies them for the Europa League (2nd comp) but only if they haven't qualified through the league, so it matters not to us whether they do or not.

Corrected version:
Top 5 make the champions league. Villa make the champions league if they win it this year (very unlikely as things stand) but that's only a 6th CL place if they finish outside the top 5. (ManU or Spurs can get a 7th place if they win the Europa League but that doesn't matter to us).

Europa League goes to the next league place (i.e. 6th unless Villa win the CL and finish 6th) and the FA cup winner, unless the FA cup winner qualifies for the CL, in which case the second place goes to the next league position down.

Conference League goes to the league cup winner, unless they qualify for either of the other two competitions.

So, for Forest:

Top 5 = Champions League
6th or FA win = Europa League
7th and Villa win the FA cup or CL and finish in the top 6 OR Man City win the FA cup and finish in the top 6 = Europa League
8th and Villa win CL and finish in the top 7 AND Man City win the FA cup and finish in the top 7 = Europa League
8th and Palace don't win the FA cup and Newcastle finish in the top 7 = Conference League.
7th and Newcastle finish in the top 6 and Palace win the FA cup and Villa don't win the FA cup or CL = Conference league
