David Campbell as the half time interview on the pitch seemed a bit desperate.

Well, quite. Non descript mid 80s northern Irish winger.

  • 2 Nov 2024, 6:46 p.m.

I remember him more as a centre mid, though the only game I can remember of him is the 2-1 win v Wet Ham in 1986 featuring THAT Metgod free kick (I happened to watch it a few days ago).

Got in late because of the queues (didn't allow enough time). After a minute sent this "We are very structured and controlled. Should win this."

What struck me was the positioning. We had set positions. People were constantly looking over their shoulders, to check the distances. When the opposition moved the ball, we checked the cover behind, before pressing the man with the ball. We were impeccable without the ball. Almost the opposite of the same fixture last season (which we won on moments, not being the better structured side).

We were always controlling the game. I was sad when elanga went off... He looked like setting a premiership record for getting left backs sent off. When they went down to ten, we defended with the ball excellently, and looked like we could create a chance at will.

We are, in current form, a very formidable side.

Don't know where you were but one of the main TE turnstiles was shut until about 10 to. Been slower getting anyway with the scans.

T4. Walked past the substantial boat club side queue, for the much slower ladybay bridge side queue.

My mates went in the pitch diner and were having canapés while I traded anecdotes about shit grounds with my fellow riff raff.

Literally been sitting in that stand since early 95 when it opened and they've always had all four turnstiles open. Even when there was hardly anyone there.

But, hey, third in the league who gives a fuck?

Wow. Wet Sham really are the worst team in the division at the moment. Loopy-Twatty is a gash manager. We dodged a bullet when he showed interest in us before Nuno.

That’s not to say we weren’t excellent because we were. Both Ryan Yates and The Dom outstanding with Morgan right on form. We were actually taking the piss!!!

Could have had 7 goals. Young Goal Threat took his beautifully and alas the second phase ruled him offside. Arse.

Apart from Bowen and Wan-Bissaka they had nothing. And they gave up. I cannot imagine the uproar if we had given up like that during our dog days of trying to survive.

Easily our best performance and this sets us up for this very tough run of games. We have to keep the mad Serb fit. He is fucking immense!!! He also looks pissed off all the time. If he scores he might break the Internet.

Please for the love of God can we sign Aina to a long term contract. He’s a treasure.

Fantastic day for us. Wet Spam are in trouble and they get Evergone next week. Love them to keep The Spaniard as he is wank. So beat the blue Scouse next week you useless cunt!

MOM: hard really. All fantastic but one of Yates and the Dom who were both absolutely superb in the centre and it’s about time Nico got out in the middle. Poor old Ward Prowse, how is he going to get back in the side?

    Brilliant!

    Chicago: Ecstatic.

I always said Lopetegui was massively overrated and had never achieved anything of note. No idea why he was linked with so many jobs. We have to watch it with Nuno because carry on like this and he will be targeted by the next big club in need of a new coach, although I am pretty impressed by how his assistant has been conducting himself.

  • 2 Nov 2024, 11 p.m.

I really don't think so having watched some of Wolves v Palace, as well as Leicester last week. And Southampton.

  • 2 Nov 2024, 11:36 p.m.

Wolves gave us a game. palarse looked low on confidence. Fester keep trying even when we better. Soton are a bit inept going forward but generally seemed a little more coherent as a unit. The Hammers look pretty damn terrible. You think any of the other games was easier? Yes, we blew Fester away and they look generally a bit meh but if this lot keep their manager I think they are in a world of trouble. The players gave up on him today. Loopy-Twatty generally seems like a right cnut.

Kunis (however you spell his name) is quality but who else other than Wan-Bissaka and Bowen is any good? Paqueta seems to have blown a fuse after not getting his big move due to being a gambling nonce. How come he isn't banned?

Anyway, they look to be in trouble. We don't and that is marvellous.

    Chicago: Happy Clapper.

  • 3 Nov 2024, 12:43 a.m.

Wolves gave us a game when we were still figuring ourselves out. We have now figured ourselves out and are decidedly figuring other sides out.
    And I think it's Kudus.

  • 3 Nov 2024, 12:54 a.m.

It's now down to other teams to figure us out

  • 3 Nov 2024, 1 a.m.

And the Sham smashed Ipshit who were particularly poor that day. West Ham looked poor today, and I don't think Lopetgui is working for them (shame), but there's worse is all.
Bowen, Kudus and Wan-Bissaka are excellent players so the team could be fixed around them.

I fucking hope so. Bigger tests are coming. But no one is infallible. It might still go to shit with a couple of injuries but I'm absolutely going to milk the enjoyment dry whilst it lasts. We've all been waiting a hell of a long time for this...
