That Murillo goal was right there.
That Murillo goal was right there.
I have never seen a shitter VAR decision than the ruled out goal. Milenkovic was onside throughout the whole process. Ramsdale dropped the ball in. Wood wasn’t interfering with play. I am at a loss for words why that was ruled out. Wood didnt touch anything.
Anthony Taylor is a beyond dreadful referee. There should have been two Southampton red cards. Downes should have been books for the first MGW foul and then he smashed him in the face with a ln elbow that looked like a red to me. If not then a second yellow. Walker Peters already had a yellow then pulled Neco back (clear yellow), and just because Taylor allowed play on doesn’t mean it’s not a caution.
Then Ola Aina produces yet another game saving clearance at the end which saves us the game which should have been won at a canter.
On the plus side based on their second half performance I think Soton can scrape another 6 points out of this season . Assuming they play their subs.
It would have been justice if Murillo had scored at the end. Taiwo was useless when he came on which is very disconcerting. Let’s hope he gets his mojo back at Exeter.
Being 6 points ahead of Newcastle is pleasing. Letting this game become a bit of a struggle hopefully is a kick in the pants that teaches us a lesson that it isn’t over until the end.
We should have been out of sight. We weren’t. Hopefully lesson learned.
Hope CHO is okay.
Chicago: Still smarting.
Oh and Fuck VAR!
Absolutely brilliant clearance. Aina is such an important player for us this season.
Did you lot show up at half time or something?
This is actually spot on. I'm amazed.
Interesting that Nuno has said the disallowed goal was the right decision.
He’s lying…
Sometimes you have to play the game against these fcukers.
Not a chance he believes that. I think he is trying to stop EM from getting banned again.
Chicago: Politiican
Why did you not inform me of this?
That was my read. Game ultimately won so, publicly at least, no need to make this the VAR hill to die on. Privately, I suspect he has a very different view.
I'd rather the club never spoke about VAR again. Admittedly, it would be better if we never felt the need to.
but so am I.
Shame you couldn't have come for a drink. Would have been fabulous to see you..... After all these years.

"The law is clear. If a player is offside, has contact and interferes, the goal should be disallowed. Nothing to say about that"
Huh. This is not exactly an unequivocal pledge of support for VAR. I like it.
Basically he is saying none of that happened.
Nuno is just being clever.
Thank God Taylor wasn’t in charge of the Liverscouse game.
Anyway, I am still fuming but we won and we are officially not getting relegated this season so I should be happy. Can’t help thinking this shit might derail us again. So Forest for Champions league. Soton for 12 points. Things to aspire to.
Chicago: Feeling mardy.
In the TBI. No mixed grill left. Fuming.
Is it just me or was Ramsdale pretty poor for the first goal (decently struck and placed but not smashed and from a fair distance) and the third (a header from a way out, again decently placed but he seemed slow to go down and got a hand to it) as well as catastrophic for the fourth?

The Wood header was the one goal (that counted) where I thought he was most shit. He could have almost walked over and grabbed it, it was that slow. But he dived and missed it. Give me Sels any day of the week.
The Anderson one was just a good shot. I think that scores against most keepers.
