Yeah, I don't like Manchester privileged. Never as bad as the Scouse twats and Wolvehampton cheaterers or the Fosse bin dippers, but they are still really annoying. All you have to do is look at Bruno's face and you know you want to punch it. Where is our handsome Retired Brazilian hero when you need him.

The new manager has them much better organised that Eric Ten Bag. The question is, are they going to give us a game or will we get them back on track as totally mediocre. Not sure.

Up to Nuno to get us back in the hunt for European places. I think we can do it. How about a sneaky 1-0 win to the good guys with Cho making a mighty return to the side to set up Elanga who fluffs it in off his shin.

It's a tough run of games but this is our most winnable I think. The question is, is this a blimp or are we settling back into mediocrity. Also if Ryan Yates got pulled off for being a pillock in the last game is he going to play? Might be a more attacking line up with Anderson dropping in.

Looking forward to the manchester Utd Almeron love fest only for them to begrugingly acknowledge us when we twat them.

Chicago: Getting to the nitty gritty.

    This is the thread.

Shady the two threader, turnstile jumping, swing dancing, wifi nicking, bike wanker can go and ruddy well tickle.

Watch those teeth, they could sever ligaments in your fingers.

Better than even chance that their dead cat bounce has lost all altitude. We beat their lazy, entitled, can only play one way, whiny twats. 2-1

Based on Nuno's reaction, I think Anderson may come in for this game for Yatesy. I would prefer Ryan play in this game just to wind up the cnuts but maybe we are going for finesse which would be different. I would prefer Utd to lose their shit and all get sent off but we aren't very good against teams with fewer players unless you are Wet Sham of course.

    Chicago: Building upon the drama.

Anderson is too good for the bench.

  • 6 Dec 2024, 8:44 a.m.

He is, but I presume they've been carefully managing his return from injury for that precise reason.

  • 6 Dec 2024, 10:50 a.m.

Hoping Anderson is fit enough to start as a ten. I'd drop MGW to the bench.
I'd also have JWP in for Yates, purely for his set pieces. Dominguez next to him as he's been generally pretty good lately.
Elanga was alright the other night despite what I've seen written about him and he'll hopefully be fired up for a game against his old employers so I'd have him in along with a return for CHO.
It'd be nice if we tried to occasionally get the ball to Chris Wood too but I realise you can't have everything.

  • 6 Dec 2024, 11:24 a.m.

I can't see him dropping his captain but I agree that I'd like to see Ward-Prowse given another shot (accepting that he's not done a huge amount so far).

Having his dead-ball ability is a big weapon in games like this when we'll likely concede a fair bit of possession again and chances from open play may be at a premium.

The league is crazy 4pts separating 5th and 13th. 14 games in. One win for us or any team can change the table so much we will all be woozy with emotion any given day...

Would be lovely to get back on track and slice down a favourite or three.

    Chicago: Feeling the crunch.

I just realised that kick off is 5:30 (12:30) and it slightly fucks up my plans for tomorrow.

  • 7 Dec 2024, 8:49 a.m.

Merseyside derby off already. Occurs to me that Manchester is quite close to Liverpool.

  • 7 Dec 2024, 10:20 a.m.

Define close. Are we talking for a snail, an intercontinental ballistic missile, or a weather front?

Windy is my go to tool of choice here. If you look at the region and timeline, the short range forecast would suggest much lower wind and little in the way of real problems inland, compared with north wales and the north west coast below cumbria.

  • 7 Dec 2024, 10:28 a.m.

I think it’s probably in our interests for the game to go ahead anyway. We’re second favourites whenever but best to get them while Amorim is figuring out his best team and before they’ve had chance to fill gaps in the transfers market.

  • 7 Dec 2024, 11:27 a.m.

Worst winds are always closest to the coast. Thirty miles inland makes a big difference. The worst has already passed Manchester so I doubt it'll be postponed now. Better not be as I'm about to leave.

Windy is also my app of choice.

  • 7 Dec 2024, 11:54 a.m.

Notts game is off. The only one so far that isn’t near the coast. I too hope our game is on as I’m also setting off shortly.

  • 7 Dec 2024, 12:28 p.m.

Five Live have just said that the Notts game has gone because high winds have damaged something on the roof of a stand. They obviously can't get anyone up there to fix it in the current conditions, and therefore can't guarantee supporters' safety until that repair has been done.
