Pretty clear why we're desperate for another striker. On tonight's showing Taiwo is currently third choice by a distance.

Oh well. At least we competed, which didn't look particularly likely with the respective line ups and even less so after 18 seconds. Lack of creativity in the final 3rd was disappointing as was some of the rather optimistic crossing, but the biggest concern is we looked dead after 75 minutes. Didn't we also look gone with 15 to go in the last 2 games?

I think there's a very useful side to be put together between the players we saw on Saturday and the players we saw tonight.

I've not seen it back, but live Taiwo penalty looked like the worst I've ever seen, almost seemed to go straight up in the air. Wood was stripped off and the board had T off for him, but then they changed it to Elanga and T stayed on.
If Abbott is the nearest academy person to the first team then that's not saying much about the rest.
Anyway showed we have some decent options in many positions.

I liked our scrubs tonight. Sosa puts in a quality ball. Anderson was on it today. Taiwo is still in 'Mare mode and his penalty was awful. I know he is a confidence player but that was pretty woeful. I think we have some good players. Just wondering if we can up the quality up front or full back. Liked Moreno and Silva. Both look Likely to break.
Poor old Zach Abbott having to start against Isak running at you with pace. We we terribly out of shape in the first half. Not so bad in the second. Abbott looks a good prospect but he was caught out trying to pinch the ball and we were punished.
Miquel should have done better for the goal but was very good after that.
And like everyone noticed our fitness in the last 15 minutes is very concerning. Do we go to Hookah lounges are something in our spare time.
Game needed a certain Ryan Yates. He would have kicked Bruno better.
Overall pretty good. Pity we couldn't finish the job from a strong position on the penalties.

Every time his opponent put in some movement, he was tied up in knots. He didn't know when to go or stay, and mostly made the wrong decision.
Physically promising, but a long way off understanding the game/position at the highest level.
Agreed. My suggestion to convert him to a centre half was because it absolutely does not look like he can run around in midfield at this level. Some good standing and kicking though.
I did whimsically wonder if that might have spelled the beginning of the end for him at forest. We seem to have accumulated some players capable of the physicality, but with a much higher technical level. No signs of more heart yet though.
