This has gone a long way from changing my opinion that is was classless to justified outburst.

If you shot for the king though you must always make sure you don't miss.

If it's true about the Luton connection then it's weird that he was allowed to officiate because it's long been the way that refs don't take charge of matches in which 'their' team is playing. The suggestion of bias however is still odd in this case because a point would've undoubtedly been better for Luton as it would still give them two teams to aim at (and quite frankly, Everton were even worse than us so there's an argument that they'd be the better target).

The tweet though was so fucking schoolboy that it makes us all look stupid.

As for the pens, I thought they should all have been given under the current rules, but I can see why they've got themselves into a pickle with the first two:
1/ Reyna went down like he'd been snipered and it didn't look like a penalty in real time so the ref doesn't give it. VAR checks it and there's obviously contact but for some reason it's viewed as minimal which somehow means it's not a foul. Bollocks.
2/ There's no way the ref can see it hit the hand from his viewpoint so he doesn't give it. VAR checks it and it clearly hits his hand, it's not in a natural position so it's a fucking penalty, end of. (He had no chance to get his hand out of the way and in the real world that shouldn't be a penalty but this is the mighty EPL so it's a pen - I bet fucking Liverpool or City would've got it).
3/ Ref thinks he got the ball and doesn't give it. He's clearly wrong, and this is exactly what VAR was invented for so it should be a clear overturn. What the fuck. That one makes no sense at all.

For multiple reasons, has this been the worst season in the history of football?

Anyway, 59.7% possession yesterday, so Russ must have been pleased.

That’s one reason why we struggled. We were unable to use our pacey quick break stuff because Everton didn’t press forward. And we lack the ability to break down teams who let us have the ball.

    Stil not getting Gio Reyna.

Nor me. Neat and tidy but doesn’t look like a Prem player, in a similar way to Freuler who I gather is pretty good in a different league.

Not just in football, but this constant demand for controversy. online and TV debate, all these hours and hours to fill, audiences to reach, engagements to create and money to make, is shit.

    Yes, but...

You (all of us) are joining in online, or on podcasts, or on Twitter, or wherever.

Good point. Where's my fucking money coming from out of all of this?

I thought you were of the view that money has ruined football. I assume you do all this “for the good of the game.”

If you could monetise opinions based on volume you'd be a billionaire overnight.

So how do we channel this injustice into beating City?

  • JRs_Cigarettepanorama_fish_eye

We cannot. They are the absolute worst possible team to be playing at this moment.

Players are sulking and disinterested as whatever they do won't be enough.

Fans are angry and withdrawing support due to actions of the club.

I'd be amazed if we don't see booing at half time and more at full time, the old days are back.

Still, at least everyone has stopped moaning about ticket prices and flags.

I do it for myself. For my own reasons (as we all do everything, even if indirectly, for ourselves). I do it because I believe that there are more important things in life than money. I do it because I promised Graham that I wouldn't put advertising, or monetise it (I think technically we are out of contract on this one). But most of all I do it so that I can be taken for granted, and patronised by you, and others like you*.

    Prick.

    * Entirely tongue in cheek, and just for the bants. lolz.

My personal cup overfloweth, in this regard. I is rich (not B, nor formerly glasgae).
