And there is another problem with the tweet - we've focused on the VAR referee being a Luton fan, in circumstances where the actual referee on the pitch also didn't think they were penalties.
Yes. All I wanted was obscurity this season. I remember raging against those two Luton goals at the CG and everyone told me to calm down. But every sperm point is sacred.
I’ve decided I don’t like myself on match day. And I don’t think mrs guru likes me much either. I’d prefer a stress free existence at my age.
Again. I think I've called it a disgrace and we are vile. But it's not necessary to choose between A and B. Both can be true, officiating can also be shit and biased to manipulate preferred outcomes.
I think I can end it on this. We had our turn laughing at Huddersfield. Now Luton/Burnley may end up laughing at us. As the old saying goes - what goes around comes around.
Nah. They'll get fucked after a spell of being plucky. Add to the story of the 'ship, then fuck off back where you came from. None of the big six want to keep going there. If we pipe down and be a pale arse, they can sell our games better than theirs. We just need to know our place.
After we conceded I spent more time watching the Kent stream - and they're getting tonked by Surrey. I glanced up to see the not penalties, the Wood and MGW misses and the goals. Maybe I would shout at the TV more if I wasn't ranting on here in type form?
The tweet is pathetic and has Maranakis all over it (Nuno didn’t know about it and there is no way anyone else at the club would have authorised it).
Problem is it gives the owner an out. Rather than look at the stupid decisions him and his son have made which have left us where we are, he gets to blame the refs and a conspiracy against us. It’s all someone else’s fault and all very Olympiakos.
We may still stay up because, whatever anybody says the three teams below us are fucking dreadful. But if we go down we can't have any complaints. We've spanked tonnes of money, made changes to apparently bring ourselves up to the standard of a Premier league club off the pitch, and yet we still give the impression of a disorganised, miserable club with a bloated playing squad which has never had the collective confidence to play away. The best things about our club in the last two years have been the spirit, hunger and dynamism of Cooper, Spence, Johnson, MGW but rather than try and pursue a strategy which leveraged that we've been scattergun, unstrategic, non-compliant, and, despite being mainly shite, now it seems entitled. We've made our own luck, give or take and we will deserve what we get. Not saying we should have hung on to Cooper, Spence and Johnson either, but we should have looked at why they worked when they worked and had a think about whether Jonjo Shelvey, Matt Turner, Ody, Origi, Montiel, Sangare etc etc fit that mould.
I won't look forward greatly to another spell in the championship. It's not going to be the wet dream of Awoniyi and Wood smashing in 60 goals, with Neco, Captain Yates and Co taking their orders from the prodigal Nigel. It will more likely be 20 new Carlos Kickaballs led by Carlos Carvalhal.
Yes, two poor teams, lacking confidence and quality are likely to be pretty average.
But, also, we are where we are because, on three occasions when we were in their box threatening their goal, we were stopped illegally. It's ridiculous to suggest we didn't do enough to win the game when we did enough to win three penalties which (probably) would have won us the game.
