Gary Neville is only concerned about Sky’s ‘product’ so he’s not exactly a relevant voice in this debate.

Exactly. And VAR controversy simply gives them something else to talk about to fill up the coverage. Eliminate that and these pundits will actually have to talk about the game. I don’t normally mind Gary Neville but on this one, he can fuck off. Someone should remind him of going to Qatar…

Because no one talked about refereeing decisions before VAR?

I think that's a legitimate argument. As is the argument that someone should be throwing grenades at my club. And a lot of other clubs. And the FA, the EPL, UEFA, and FIFA.

Burn the fucking lot down. YMMV.

Imho, we are right to say the system is fcuked or unacceptable. Implications of Luton-triggered unprofessionalism are unprovable, unhelpful, probably inaccurate, and certain to change nothing.

That's counter productive to what a lot of us identify as legitimate concerns. Plus it makes us look like a tramp on meths at a bus shelter, ranting and swearing at the world.

... or a cat, drinking from puddles.

    Those were the days.

While there's (limited) sympathy from other fans (who generally feel that their club is the one most hard done by), there will be nothing but derision for us framing it like this.

They did. But the introduction of VAR has given an additional (very thick) layer that they can chew on

By the way, I don’t think Atwell is corrupt. But it’s perfectly legitimate to suggest a degree of (un)conscious bias

Atwell shouldn’t be prevented from refereeing our games because he’s corrupt. He should be prevented from refereeing them because he’s proven himself to be incompetent over a number of years.

The more focus on that, the more it distracts from the case. Which is:

There were a string of obviously inexplicably wrong decisions that fundamentally changed this game. There are lots of games where this is the case. Far too many. The game has been fundamentally changed to get to this position, where it is significantly worse. It's not acceptable, and it's not getting any better.

Luton would, surely have preferred a Forest win. They’ve got Everton next week, keeps it in their own hands.

The bias is toward keeping the on field decision where the decision is subjective (they foolishly believe offside is objective). The Reyna foul is probably 60/40, the handball and the CHO foul 80/20 or 90/10. It’s got to be 99% wrong for the decision to be overturned unless it’s in favour of the big 6.

Point of order, there is nothing incompetent about our set-piece coach.
Incompetency would be insisting the manager hires one, then sacking the manager. Then allowing the new manager to totally sideline the newly appointed set-piece coach in favour of his mates, who are shockingly bad at coaching set pieces.

Think the best bit of my day was arriving very early to the ground and having two solo pints in the sun. The rest was pretty shit.

Apologies: I should have said "whatever clown is coaching the team for set pieces" for clarity

As a coach, it looks like Nuno's primary asset is being best mates with Mendez. It's definitely not his press interaction. No obvious signs of structure, organisation, and plan, yet.

I know this board has its fair share of negative Nigel’s, but can we all agree that the social media engagement by the comms team has been top notch as of late?
