You used the qrcode to register it with an authenticator installed on your phone then. The qrcode does not produce the code...it affects a key-share, that enables an authenticator to generate a code based on the key that turnstile told you.
On your phone should be an authenticator, with turnstile registered, and it will be generating codes every 30 seconds. The only reason this can be not the case, is if you subsequently did something to remove it (the authenticator, or the key-share).

I didn't install an authenticator on my phone when I first registered. Just used the QR code (took me to a website but nothing was installed). I didn't install an authenticator until later on the same day when I tried (and failed) to log in from my phone.
Then you need to use that authenticator that you now have on your phone, to generate the OTP code.
You need access to your registered email to achieve this.
1.You need an authenticator - discussion on them here talkcab.trentend.uk/t/authenticator-2fa-and-otp/13/ This is easiest by phone, if you have the facility. I use aegis ( getaegis.app/ ) on android.
2.Log in to turnstile.trentend.uk/ using your username and password on the device that you have access to your email on. Make sure that you use the same browser throughout the process. Also make sure that you tick the check box "Remember me".
3.Click on "Lost your device?"
4.It should notify you that it is sending a link to your registered email address.
Copy the link from your email, and make sure that you open it in the same browser that you initiated the process. You should see something like this:
Scan the qr_code, or click on the key to copy the key, to paste (or manually copy) to set up the authenticator manually.
5.The difference is that you now have an authenticator registered to your account. Enter the code generated by the authenticator within the current active time slot.
If this process has taught us anything, it's that neither can I.

I think that is true with the autistic one. (Who clearly can’t be autistic because he was keeping calm whilst the rest of us were having a mardy). With my days being high stress not being able to register on a Forest web site sometimes sent me into a strop. Clearly I am borderline insane with the stuff going on my life. For some weird reason it seemed important until it wasn’t.

Something I have noticed on here is the absence of page numbers on threads. I sometimes have a break and when i browsed on the old site it didn't take too long to find the last post that I had read. I preferred the old site, could be habit, but I will get used to this one eventually.

Definitely not one of the prolific posters but have been lurking on here for longer than I care to remember. Not having access whilst I have been away made me realise how much I miss it - probably because it is my demographic of curmudgeonly, anti-social old git who inhabit this place.
Let me take this opportunity to say that although I do not get involved often (I fall at the first hurdle with social media) I do very much appreciate the effort (witchcraft/alchemy) that goes into creating and maintaining the board. I would definitely miss it if it was no longer available.

Another little thing - I have the Partridge link for the old site. Will this still be operational or will there be a new link to this site? I don't use it very often - mostly when in France, but it is hugely appreciated.
Partridge is in the same place for now, and will be until the end of the season.
It would have been moved behind the authentication to restrict usage by now, were it not for the fact that apple stuff just doesn't work.
(browser needed to authenticate and access the portal...but apple browsers don't support ogg, so can't play the stream).
Can play in VLC (or similar)
But can't authenticate through the portal using vlc.
