Bar a couple of Morato moments we've looked comfortable at the back but predictably anaemic going forward.
Then that happens. So, so weak.
I've told myself that going out of the cup doesn't really matter, but this is - yet again - rather shit.
Which bit do you like? The bit where he mostly makes the wrong decision when on the ball, the bit where he mostly hits the first man with a cross or the bit where he's weak as fuck in any contact and gets brushed off the ball like a fly?
Nothing going forward.
Weak and error prone at the back.
Pretty shambolic, really.
McAtee and Ndoye utterly non-existent.
Yes this is a scratch side but it's not that much different from the first team in terms of performance, is it?
I think there's a lot there to persevere with. He's a young kid who's been thrust into a hurricane of a shitstorm this season (including all the Europa League squad bollocks), and still managed to produce some important moments for us.
What do I like? His acceleration over five yards, his balance and trickery, and the simple fact he has that rare talent in the modern game of being able to go past a player. Admittedly his final ball is often more miss than hit at present.
My mate's been supporting Ipswich for nearly 40 years and says he's one of the best, if not the best, he's seen at Portman Road. Plenty more to come from Hutchinson, I think.
