There is risk in every game and this notion that everyone below the premier league is a hungover Sunday league psychopath released on licence and out to clump a millionaire is pretty dated. It's a game of football, we should be trying to win it.
You don't have to get clumped by a clogger to get injured. Being over-footballed, to coin a Tricky phrase, can be just an risky in terms of muscular injury. Absolutely no need for Neco Williams to play in this fixture, nor any other regulars.
Being under footballed does often lead to crapness and at the moment whilst we have a couple of key players who may be over footballed we do have an inarguable problem with crapness. Winning football matches helps with crapness.
Drove past Wrexham last night on way to staying at my friend's in Denbigh. A fair bit of snow around Wrexham, but was already starting to melt, and had turned to rain by the time I got to Denbigh. Snow won't stop the match, so assuming the drainage in their pitch is fine it should go ahead.
On the other hand, the M5 around Birmingham was an absolute shitshow yesterday evening. Took about an hour and a half to travel a mile between 4 & 3, and there was an obstacle course of stuck lorries to navigate. The M6 was breeze.
Was it ever called Caes Ras, rather than The Racecourse Ground before a couple of years ago? They aren't really reverting to the historic name, are they?
