If Abbott isnt rated as highly as Morato then there really isn’t much hope for him. He would have been better off going out on loan rather than the odd appearance at full back.

He’s still very young. But it’s mad if we are damaging his progress just to keep that record going. Probably more to do with needing him for the Europa squad.
It was obvious that we had to field some of the squad members to see what we had and let's face it losing to Hollywoodf FC isn't ideal but I don't believe this game was a priority. Cunha came out of this game looking decent. I didn't actually have too much of a problem with Luiz. He was unlucky with the goal that was disallowed and he was spraying the ball around. He does have class and if he can stay fit would be a real asset. Hutchinson is a massive mixed bag. Looks great going at players but he was in the wrong position for their first goal. Shades of Morgan against a couple of sides earlier this season. Trying to dribble out of a problem. Yes he is inconsistent and I knew he would miss the penalty unfortunately but I didn't think he was aweful. Morato, that is another thing altogether. He is a accident waiting to happen and if one of the Milan's want him then sure, let him go. Jair is ahead of him for me. Zinchenko. I have made it clear that he is not a defender and he has been injured or just caught out of position since he got here. Wrong signing for us. Send him back to Arsenal.
McAtwee. I was perplexed that he was in the six position. I mean, that is not where he plays right? Anyway, he went missing in a major way but it was odd he was so far back. I think he needs a loan to get his confidence back. He just doesn't fit us at the moment (if at all).
As it stands, the subs were the correct call as Bakwa who has tons of ability was running into blind alleys. N"Doye looks just very short of confidence. And a bit weak...
CHO was excellent. So was Morgan. Taiwo I love him, but even I admit it now he is shot unfortunately. Jesus. That poor b*d. He needs support. If we don't find a kante/Gallagher type to help drive the ball forward (especially if god forbid Morgan gets twonked), then we will massively struggle for the next five 4/5 months. We need a combative type for certain. one who likes running... Sounds expensive....
Etc etc.
Chicago: Not crest fallen.
I think my theory on that was that Dyche thought he'd get more of the ball and it would help his confidence grow. It didn't work.
I agree with pretty much everything you wrote with one glaring exception:
Not even close
See the club hasn't put out Dyche's post match interview on YouTube.
I think Dyches’s interview was fair enough. Glasner’s interview was worse. Admittedly, their defeat was also far, far worse. Bigger gap between the sides and more first teamers playing.
I don't think Dyche said anything that we weren't thinking, just not a good look maybe when it is done in public. He is usually more measured than that.. He is not wrong but that could cause him to lose the dressing room a little bit as footballers do seem a bit mardy nowadays (we have been saying that for years).
It does make me wonder if he has given up on a lot of the periphery players and he might have to flog the first team to death. Unless it's all an amazing plan to get ready baked big boned players in now in this window..
We shall see.
Chicago: Propaganderist.
I don’t think he’s given up on them; I think he was calling on them to prove that they are better than they were on friday evening. And used the example of his “first XI” to show what’s required. Whether they sulk or respond is unknown.
Me saying that in no way absolves Dyche from some pretty awful tactics over the last few games.
What were the tactics, and what was pretty awful about them (I didn't see the games)?
Hail Mary to Jesus who usually has no followers.
Who also needs a much better cross….
Needs a nailed on cross?
I'm not privy to the training process, but I'm willing to bet that the plan wasn't to toss shit crosses up to Jesus and hope for the best.

The evidence on the pitch tends to suggest it is.

Doing shit like this, and no player interviews after defeats gets my goat more and more. And yet they put out New Years messages from the big man about the "Forest community" and "The strength of Nottingham Forest has always come from our togetherness". We'll then let me hear what the pillars, so to speak, of community have to say -- and even more so in the tough times, when we can really judge what they're made of.
Oh, and I finally brought myself to watch the penalty shootout. Given the decades and decades of penalty footage available to players now I will never, ever, ever, understand how any footballer can still hit a pen at such a piss easy height for the keep to save as Hutchinson did.
OK, rant over.
They have put it up now. No idea if they’ve edited out some of his more overt criticism.
