It is interesting that people are much more protective of Anderson than Williams. I know Williams didn't play as much in the summer but he's also played every minute and plays for his country.

If we were sitting comfortably in mid-table with no European football, then we'd be looking at the Wrexham game differently. But we're not, so we shouldn't be.
I'm never sure about this supposedly linear relationship between game time and performance. Nico thrives on playing regularly and is getting better and better, Ando is knackered and clearly needs a week off. If he needs more that a week off I'd suggest he gives up on football and takes up teaching.

It's definitely about resting for Anderson. With the others, it's more about removing injury risk.
We'd all be furious with Dyche if he insisted on playing Neco in a nothing game at Wrexham and he picked up a longer-term injury. We'd be pretty fucked, I think, needing to go out and get a readymade replacement or play Aina/Savona out of position at left-back for a few PL games when we need points.
I fully expect us to lose tomorrow evening, and have absolutely made my peace with that. Perfect to give the fringe players a run to see what they can do with no pressure or expectation.
To be fair Neco's from Wrexham and may well really want to play.
