Either Chelsea have got a surprising amount of income or how is this not a breach so much worse than any other in football history? www.bbc.com/sport/football/68805247
At the very least it's a demonstration as to how the rules were played.
Particularly enjoyed this part of that report:
“ Players costing £592m were sold for £203m, although accounting rules mean that generated a profit of £63m.”
No idea. There was a lot of talk our appeal was supposed to be this week but I've seen nothing to suggest it's happened. On the worst case timeline, which we were way ahead of, we should have had an appeal date by yesterday, so fuck knows.
I believe that what Simon is saying is that if Loophole FC were to get promoted as a result of escaping sanction by the EFL on the basis of the fact that the EFL has no authority to impose sanctions based on breaches committed in the Premier League, which they appear to be on track to do, and then avoid sanction by the Premier League on the basis of that all being last season's news and also fairytales, he would find some degree of amusement in the scenario.
I believe Simon to be wrong, both in terms of the possibility it happening and the mere idea of it being funny in the slightest.
