Brighton announced a profit of £122M, a record for a British football team. And that doesn't include the £140M they got from Chelsea for Caicedo and Sanchez, those deals will appear in next year's accounts.

But still £400m in ‘debt’ to Tony Bloom. Which I guess won’t be called in ever.
Profit profit blah blah blah.
Can we get back to dreaming up Leicester doomsday scenarios.
No. And a lot of that money went into a brand new stadium and a state of the art training facility, he has invested massively in infrastructure. If he left tomorrow he would leave behind a club transformed from what it was.
It's a horrible stadium in th arse end of nowhere though.
Owners gonna own

But probably one still only a couple of years of bad transfers away from the relegation fight.
Yes, obviously. That's true of any club, but it doesn't undo all that good work he has done to provide the club with a transformed infrastructure.
He has also employed skilled and experienced people and let them do their jobs, which has paid dividends for him.
I might have imagined this, but doesn't he own a company that does player data analytics and they get the best access to the data?
That's Brentford, this fella is a professional gambler.
Apparently he does, he founded a company called Starlizard who they use.
I think Brentford do similar? Aren't they both gamblers?
That's true of any club
It isn't though is it? They Sky 6 will never be anywhere near relegation.
Same way Brighton will never be anywhere near winning the league.
{Narrator voice} Eeyore does not like Brighton {/Narrator voice}
Don’t the Notts owners also own a player data company? Do they just get the shit ones?
I remember the old days when a player data company was called a good manager. Presumably there are also bad player data companies.

The way they are going, I don't think it's impossible to see Chelsea being relegated in the next few years. They probably have to sell Gallgher and/or James this summer and James's injuries means they won't get full value for him. Their "clever" approach to amortization just means they have a load of transfer money tied up for the next half decade.
