Baby?
Sangaré?
On the bench. Unlike MGW.
I've ensured we* score by having a Shady on 0-0 at 16-1.
*or they
We surely aren't going to try to cram Morgan, Jesus and Wood into the same team?
I think MGW will play deeper, because he certainly has the ability to get on the ball in tight defensive areas and make things happen from there.
Hopefully Nuno is seeing something on the training ground to suggest that the Jesus Wood combo is worth persisting with.
Not least because focusing on 2 up front when you only have 3 strikers in total seems optimistic to me.
0-0 again then. Oh well. I've had my fun (winning a whole £8),
I shall no doubt spend next week wondering how many Forest defenders to put in my fantasy team, following so many pre-season clean sheets, ahead of conceding 3 to Brentford...
Any chance Richards sticks around as the 4th full back?
Is his leg still broken? Does he have harry arters agent?
Sat behind Nico Dominguez tonight. He was more interested in watching Boca Juniors on his phone than watching Forest.
Also fun seeing the kids having photos with and getting autographs from reserve keeper Aaron Bott - and then telling everyone it was Zach Abbott.
To be fair, they don’t look entirely dissimilar.
I feel this about young people as well. Looking from this distance.
I'd imagine most have no idea what either look like, but A Bott.
I went last night and here the bits I picked up on.
Igor isn't a no 10. When he actually pushed up against their back line, I liked the runs he was looking to make. I'd rather see us try and sign another no 10 to back up MGW than rely on Igor in the role.
Ndoye reminds of a first PL season Brennan Johnson. Got muscled off the ball a few times and rivals Brennan with his heading ability (or willingness to head it). I can see why we're looking at a Traore type to back him up.
I fear Wood's purple patch may be coming to an abrupt end and we need to find goals from elsewhere. The build up play we were trying probably doesn't help him and there were numerous occasions when we overplayed rather than playing the final pass or shooting.
My suspicion is that all the players trained earlier in the day as the warm up wasn't as intense and they seemed to be blowing early in the first half. Hopefully this explains the overall performance.
The sooner Nuno realises that we need to play Wood or Igor not Wood and Igor, the better.
