If we are going to get it wide and get crosses in, then we probably need two wingers and two centre forwards. Which probably leaves Anderson and Gibbs-White as the midfield two, which feels a bit lightweight.

I'm struggling to think of many times over the last few seasons where we've played better with 2 up front.
Anyone watch Palace yesterday? We look miles off them in an attacking sense, and they're a team we are hoping to finish higher than this year.

No, we don't have to do that, and I wouldn't suggest that we do. I'm going early in to wood, and having the other side wide of the three, and at least one coming from deeper central, making box runs. If the threat of the early ball to wood drops the defence (and it will), then that opens up the space for a deeper carry. If it does go into wood, and gets cleared, you increase your odds (attritionally, statistically) if the cross is in to one, and the extra body is competing for seconds.

Seems like Eze is probably off to Arsenal, which isn't going to make them better. Guehi into his last year and probably also leaving, which won't have a direct impact on their attack but there's usually an attacking price for a weaker defence.
We will continue to rely on our defence, and try to keep games tight to get 1-0s.
