He definitely waited for the ref to get out the fuckin' road.

Then thought 'fuckit' and banged it into him to make a point.

Despite the disastrous outcomes Ange basically kept the same zonal defending of corners. Don't think they got a corner my end but it looked like more of a man-to-man approach last night.

You could argue that he did in the end find a passing lane / inside channel.

We were solid last night. Apart from the corner which they scored from. That was a bit of a calamity. Offside decision was a correct one but in real time wasn't so sure. Dan N'Doye looked up for it. but on the breaks and we had a few he has to look up. CHO was free a couple of times and wasn't found. Pretty frustrating. I think someone has to drill it in to him to look up when running which is actually difficult, but doo-able. He has ability but needs some confidence and needs to be a bit more physical. I liked his aggression in the second half though.

As the game went along, i definitely saw something that I haven't seen for a while. Touchline coaching. We got better as time progressed. I guess Zinchenko going off helped. I have nothing against him personally but he is a calamity at the back. I thought Savona was decent. I like him. I think given time will be another Neco. Just needs to get up to speed. As for the real Neco, he was magnificent. Gritty, Determined. Bloody agressive, forward thnking. He played some lovely balls to Callum.

Porto are good but we frustrated them, especially after the disallowed goal. This is progression. Also, yes the highlight of the game was Murillo taking the piss with his causal shoulder to the player and gently letting the ball run out with the winger/attacker helpless to stop him shepherding the ball out. Total shithousing. Sean must have loved it.

We got a bit of luck which was needed but this was a game to win and win we did./. The big test will be against our bogey side this Sunday. I am genuinely interested to see what team and tactics we employ. Luiz is indeed a Rolls Royce. Let's hope we can keep that engine going. I worry we will kill our best midfield in eons.

Good stuff. Long may it continue and the atmosphere was ace. Thank Gawd.

    Chicago: Pleased as punch.
