There was one in the 1st half between Williams and Milenkovic.
Nowhere to be seen 2nd half. -
He was fine until Robbie Savage declared how good he was and then he took a turn for the worse.
That was very good, generally defended well, worked hard and looked a lot more organised.

Yeah Neco was very good. I was on the opposite side, but there was an odd moment in the second half when he was fouled in front of their bench. At one point it looked like there were 10 blokes in their technical area trying to go after him.

Indeed, not begging the opposition to score doesn’t seem like it should be a tactical masterstroke, but it did seem to elude the last chap. We were good and solid at the back and in the middle, but not really great in the final third. Porto are a good side who haven’t been conceding goals, so it’s not a big deal at the moment.. but there were a lot of opportunities to put good balls in from the flanks and everyone given an opportunity to do so was quite bad at it tonight. We scored from two penalties.. both correctly given, but one was a bit of bad luck and the other was a major fuck up by the defender (cos Savina did dive.. but the muppet decided to foul him anyway). Neither penalty was really a result of us forcing an opportunity, and neither offence really denied us one (maybe a half chance if the handball hadn’t gotten in the way of a potentially favourable bounce).
Semi-related.. I’m a fan of CHO and how he goes about things.. but I do miss the more instinctive approach of Elanga. There was a chance for CHO to put a ball in that would have given Jesus a clear chance, but it needed to be played first time and he took a touch or two, as he always does, and had to go himself. He’s good at doing that.. but there’s a reason why Elanga/Wood gets you a lot more goals that CHO doing his thing.

Interesting that we made way more chances against Chelsea last week and lost 3-0 than we did today. I hope Dyche can get us scoring goals without relying on penalties. But that's a worry for another day. You reds!

Anyone who would pick Sangare over Luiz should be banned from watching football again.

Not sure I saw anyone advocating for that. My personal view was disappointment for Sangaré that he'd get fewer minutes once Luiz was signed, but Luiz has been better even than I'd expected, aside from fitness.
