I realise that we have basically zero weight in the argument, but that's a good statement. The Premier League are the (main) villains in this.

To be honest 4 points doesn't seem unfair. Better than I was fearing
Yeah I meant starting on minus 4 points, over the course of the season I'd hope we were capable of getting 5 more points from matches than Luton. I think we are and I think we can still finish with 1 or 2 more than them.
Punchier statement from the club than I was expecting: www.nottinghamforest.co.uk/news/2024/march/18/club-statement/
Appeal on the way, it sounds like.
I am not sure - doesn't read to me like we are appealing necessarily.
JP would have liked it, he always loved a good statement.
My reading of the judgment is it is pretty well put together. It doesn't mean it's unappealable, but it's pretty impressive for the time they have had and my hunch is it may be hard to successfully appeal.
So Johnson nearly went to Atletico. Better than Brentford.
No, player A nearly went to Athletico. A for Arter? That bloody guy again.
Think we've dodged a bullet there. The idea we are some sort of standard bearer for aspirant clubs is a joke, but we should stay up now.
The integrity and competitiveness of the Premier League is undermined by being a global "best league in the world" franchise rather than an English top flight, not because we got told off for spending 150M quid on new players.
My "guestimate" for the second Everton penalty would be an extra 6 points.
Bottom of the table would read like this:
Palace 29
Brentford 26
Luton 22
Forest 21
Everton 19
Burnley 17
Sheffield U 14
Our odds of staying up in that context look pretty good to me.
Unsurprisingly, the Everton fans are absolutely squealing about us getting 4.
I think Everton will get docked 4 or less.
Looking at our remaining fixtures, if we are to play with real fight and venom (with no strikers eek) we could conceivably win against Palace, Fulham, Wolves, Sheffield Unit and Burnley and draws against Everton and Chelsea are a possibility. That would comfortably keep us up. We won't do that of course but May do half of it and that may be adequate.
They seem to think that all their loss is down to the new stadium despite that being explicitly excluded.
Also they seem to really believe there is a conspiracy against them.
Scousers gonna scouse.

You can’t have watched us play recently then
This statement from the report is just plain stupid isn't it?
"
The commission concluded that it couldn't treat #NFFC any different to Fulham & Bournemouth (who came up with parachute payments) as there was "no evidence to show that Parachute Payments had been used to enable those clubs to invest"
