Easter,so another reason for the paper pushers to delay. Won't hear the outcome until about the 9th/10th.

Everton's losses doubled last season compared to the season before. Starting to think they might not get off lightly in their second ffp case.

Recidivism is very likely to be aggravating factor, so if their breach is as bad or worse than the last one they can expect a bigger deduction.

Wasn't part of their defence first time that they were moving in right direction or something like that?

It was part of their case, but it was ignored by the commission.

I'd take the points that we've been docked right now. We should have enough to stay up from here. Particularly if we focus on the football, and not the hard done to narrative the owner seems to prefer.

If we do stay up, we have work to do to not be in breach again next year. We still have a squad with few players up to the level over the course of a season. If we get relegated it could be carnage.

If I was on this commission I might be asking a few questions about the honesty of that attempted defence last time (which was done after the current year had ended and they would have known pretty much what the losses were).

That was argued during their last legal submission, and dismissed. I don't think you constantly re-litigate things. Shame we lost our legal mind. Still, we have plenty of accountants, and in many ways they are more useful.

Shurely Everton have to get twonked with a massive points reduction now. They were also caught lying their arses off. We must be seen in a better light than those fuckers. I hope the commission whoever they are don't get intimidated by the blue nose fans wanting to look after their cars.

I mean, they are fucked if they don't have financing in the next year. It was would be mega if they go down to be honest.

Luton annoy me, but only because they look more likely to stay up than us. If Ever-gone are whacked back into the bottom three I will cheer for Poo-ton to do the cheeky and beat the odds as long as it's not at our expense.

When are Manc Citeh getting relegated? Are they waiting for Pep to fuck off the Spain National team job?

    What an absolute mess!

Chicago: It's the hope that kills you.

Supposedly, £210m was spent on the new stadium last season but that would be excluded from the ffp calc and would imply an ffp profit and no charge. So something doesn't add up

I believe stadium expenditures are excluded, but loan interest is included.

I think they capitalised the loan interest (added it to the asset) on the stadium loans so nothing to add back there.

As a rough guess I wouldn't be surprised if their PSR losses increased a fair bit over the previous 3 year period.

I can't see how they are going to ever pass the loss rules going forwards given their interest payments. Unless someone re-finances their debt at much lower rates. Which may be possible with a new owner.

Also maybe when the stadium is finished, but I imagine that would very much depend on their being a general improvement in their losses and on the pitch performance.
