I started to listen to the latest episode of the Gazette and was so bored after less than 5 minutes that I canned it.
I imagine if I’d got as far as the interview with the kid I’d no longer be here to tell the tale.
It was less shit than that sounds, but was still mawkish and clumsy.
I made it about 1 minute into Garibaldi Gazette this episode. To the part where Arsher declared his love for Forest.
In contrast Prutton was as good as ever on Forest Focus.
I went on an episode of Garibaldi Gazette this morning. Hopefully I haven't added to the pain expressed about it above. I enjoyed it anyway.
Can't be worse than the actor mate of Arsher's.
Can't be.
Surely.
That's my listening for tomorrow sorted then.
Will be checking it out !
It was good, and I finally know how to pronounce Simon Gillett's name correctly.
Simon was excellent, although surprisingly little content from here. No Donny, no EBP, no wlfbgging etc.
....but surely at least biscuit chat?
I didn't think we talked about this place in the outside world.
What place?
What outside world?
Nice that they let you film it from the Lower Bridgford Simon.
Edit: Watched it last night while getting some work done after Little Miss Shady was in bed. I honestly thought you were the best person on it. Asher Ali is .... fine. But a bit annoying at times. The main host guy - whatever. He wasn't bad, but didn't particularly shine. The journo (?) in the green top was decent too - though I felt like he was trying to hard to be clever. But he spoke sense. I liked the finances bit, it was the clearest I've heard it put in a podcast. I also liked the bit where you talked about repeatedly saying we need to give the new guy more time - groundhog day for sure. Here ends the review you didn't ask for,.
Feeling pretty happy that two solo 4-5 hour round trips in the car last week has got my podcast queue down to 6h45 from it's normal status in the high teens to low twenties.
I don't like to listen to forest podcasts, I have decided. So I am quite outside the target audience. I made the effort though. Quite enjoyed your contribution. Largely because it was quite close to an articulate and measured version of my views (something I am not equipped to provide). Listening to other people being self-absorbed, and focussing on things that I'm not really minded to view that way, was less to my taste. Didn't really feel like there was enough in it for nearly an hours running time.
Definitely prefer an hour talking forest in the pub on tuesdays and thursdays, even if that is quite a bit like groundhog day. Will probably go back to not listening to forest podcasts now.
