The Forest Fever post had a NZ special with a local journo this week. Jason Pine - he's really good, in all honesty. Very straight.
Many years ago I didn't know who he was and was lecturing him about the misery of lower league football (we were in league one at the time) on the way to a Phoenix game. He almost certainly knew more than me, if less specifically.

I like that podcast the best of the Forest ones, I think - but when Barry Girdles is on I usually cannot last more than 5 minutes. I’m sure he’s a lovely bloke and all that - and he was a superb player - but he doesn’t half spout bollocks, and in large quantities too

I'm surprised nobody more decent than Bournemouth has come in for Solanke as he's too good for them.

At the risk of proving tricky's point, he's approaching 27, would cost a fortune, would have no resale value and has already failed at Liverpool.

Remove the 'superb player' bit and I do believe you've just pretty much penned a not terribly inaccurate universal catch-all 'poster bio' for every intermong contributor to these here pages.

Fletch doesn't seem very happy in the latest Forest Focus

It's one game but I think his concerns - same defensive failings as last season and an inability to kill the game off - along with wanting to see first team signings (presumably Milenkovic is) are worth airing. You wouldn't want everyone to be Greg.

Is that the goalie one? What was the conclusion?

Sels is good, he hasn't seen enough of Miguel to say. I think Davies has changed the headline as I thought an earlier version implied Belshaw was going to give an opinion on who the better of the two but it's not that.

Basically analyses a few goals and saves, primarily from Sels, and talks about technique and explains why they've taken certain decisions and what their thinking will have been in various scenarios and goes through some general stuff about goalkeeping training etc. Belshaw talks well and gives an interesting perspective.
