Percy reports that Brighton have had 4 bids rejected by Derby for Cashin, their young centre half, and that Derby want at least 3M and the player on loan for the season. Suspect they'll probably get both as well.

Looks like he's out of contract next summer, so I'm guessing Derby are selling this window one way or another.
I wouldn't be against us sneaking in and offering £4m to get it done. He won't even have to move house. Just to annoy them. If Brighton think he's good, there's probably something there.
Are we saying Derby need to Cash in? Eh? Eh?
Tough forum.
I don’t think loaning him back would be the best approach if we did.
No, agreed. I've no interest in giving them a ton of money to finance a promotion push while at the same time letting them keep the player to help with it.
FWIW, Derby fans seem to think that 3M is quite a generous offer for him.
He's not ready for prem. I wouldn't trust us to bring him through. We need actual players that can help us now, not an addition to our losses.
It's a no from the Cotgrave panel.
Oh fuck actually playing him. It's only a few mil. Worth it for the lolz. Let's lend him to Huddersfield as a vague sorry for the "penalties".

Or Lincoln. Or Burton. Or Wycombe. Or anyone else one view (D*rby probably wouldn't) as a lower mid table obscurity / relegation flirt rival.
I'd rather we spent our time and money improving our team than worrying about screwing Derby's, they're more than capable of doing that without our assistance.

Didn’t he look decent when they were trying to play football under Rooney and Rosenior and gone to pot since Warne put that behind them?

I've no idea how he's been playing recently, but yes, he was good under Rooney.

Yes that's of course the correct viewpoint and all very correct, but come on, it'll be well funny.
Your idea of funny is giving Derby what they want?

Can't we do both?
If you really want to upset them, wait until next summer and then we can sign Bird on a free.
