A scorer of important goals. Hard to replace, I would imagine. But CIty have made this sort of call before and done "ok".

I imagine their £150M bid for Ryan Yates to replace him is only minutes away
I hear that championship liecester are 'confident' about signing Conor Coady.
I know that he's thirty, but he's a player I would very much like to see playing for us.
If he’s dropping down a level, there’s probably a good reason for it.
Indeed. Bit odd how's he gone from playing for England, via the Everton bench, to the championship. On the face of it, it's a great signing for Leicester, but I wonder how much premier interest there was..
I think he was struggling to get a game for Everton. So, meh.
With England last year. An experienced centre half. Excellent with the ball at his feet. Can make a back three, Coopers preferred formation, really tick. Excellent professional. A leader.
I remain interested.
Maddison to Spurs for 40M gets the Romano here we go. Less than Leicester fans think he's worth, more than I wanted them to get.
Think that's the low end of what he's worth. Doesn't really fit with how Kane has played for the last few years, so either he's going back to playing as a more conventional striker or he's leaving.

Looks like Kane might be going to Bayern. Bit of a funny one. Don't see many top class PL players going to Germany nowadays.

Think leaving makes sense all round - Spurs are really stale at the moment, so they get some money to freshen up and build for the medium term and he gets to win some medals. Downside for him of Bayern is that it makes the Shearer PL scoring record very difficult (48 goals behind, so 2 seasons at his current rate) but he's already England and Spurs' top scorer and the PL record is artificial anyway.
The article I read said he would go for 2 years and them come back, play until he is 40 and break the "record".
He could perhaps do two seasons in Germany, then come back for 3-4 and just about get there.

He'll be 30 at the start of next season, so he'd be pushing 36 at the end of that 4th season back. That's not far off the age Andy Cole was when he was running less than Lee Camp for us. Shearer retired as he was approaching 36 and scored 17 in his last two seasons (albeit 56 in his last 4).
Think two seasons in Germany changes his chances of that PL record from almost certain to 50/50.
Strikers last longer these days. They're fitter. Kane will adapt (again) and become a fox in the box when his legs go. Andy Cole was a bad comparison.
I can't believe Tricky has resisted joining this thread yet. I'm laying bait all over the place.
If Leicester get Coady, Winks and Piroe (not sure what I think of the latter but he's scored some goals at that level), their new manager won't have too many excuses if he doesn't get them up.
