Multiple media reports saying that Man U are willing to sell Garnacho, Mainoo and Hojljund. The first two make sense from a PSR perspective as they're homegrown so all profit.

Would take either of the latter two. Garnacho can do one though the ugly fuck.

Put me down as a 'no' for the first and last on footballing grounds, and the second on a price/cost basis. I'd rather have Yatesy. Value.

Sunderland are signing a midfielder on loan from Roma who cost them 20M last summer. Apparently he used to play for Sunderland's manager, but still. That's a statement signing.

Is the statement "turns out he's fucking shit. Sunderland can have him"?

Mainoo makes no sense from a club building perspective though and they’ll be making a huge loss on Hojljund. Think I’m going to enjoy the Jim Ratcliffe era almost as much as the Glasner era.

I rate Mainoo so he's exactly the kind of player they should be moving on.
    Garnacho just looks like trouble.

I would take Mainoo but I am sure he would cost us silly money: so he will probably go to Chelsea.

It is really pleasing how much of a mess the Scum are in. Although I would rather laugh at them than have them relegated at the expense of wolves or fester who hopefully die a fiery death. Unless a Soton want to pull a miracle out of the hat with Ipswich then I will truly be in wonderland.

    Chicago. Realistic.

I don't really understand what City are doing. They've signed or have agreements to sign Reis, Khusanov and Marmoush, and are supposedly after a full back from Juve, but they're paying the January premium when they have no chance of winning the league. It's a lot of money to improve their chances of the Champions League.

A bit of me wonders whether they're spending now out of fear that by the summer they'll have an embargo.

As opposed to being relegated beyond non league like they should be?

They won't be relegated, we all know that. It's 50/50 whether they'll be punished at all - the EPL approved Chelsea's hotel scheme so I have my doubts that City will get anything more than a fine.

Depends if it’s signings that they would otherwise have made in the summer. If only the January Premium is ‘extra’ then it may very well be worth it to ensure CL qualification. Plus, they can be a little slow to get started so having their 2025-26 squad together early might be seen as valuable heading into next season.

TBH, either way I think it’s unlikely they don’t make top 4. They’ll probably come second assuming Arsenal don’t buy a good striker and they don’t get a points deduction.

The Marmoush one is interesting. They only play with one striker. They going to drop Haaland?

He can play wide as well, I think? So he could also challenge Savinho and Doku for those positions. Plus maybe Haaland leaves if they don't get into the CL.

In the same way that Wissa would be in the rotation for all of our front three positions.

Just signed to 2034, so maybe not.

Pass. I didn't think he was that kind of guy, but can't say I've done very much research on it !
