Sterling has been absolutely brilliant in this game...but wet hams leading 2-1. Predominantly, I suspect because the rest of chelsea's players look like they haven't been introduced. To each other, or the concept of kicking the ball properly. Which has probably been made harder by most of them competing for an appearance in the 'made up name' thread. The 'past it' Antonnio scoring a beauty of course....and two assists on debut from 'I just don't see it' JWP.

It is always satisfying watching Chelsea fans find out they are not as good as they thought they were and / or consider they are entitled to be. If they don't beat Luton on Friday I might laugh so hard toilet troubles are triggered and they might be nicely set up for us then.

I would love it if Chelsea are shit again, again this year. They shouldn't be, as they have some quality and Pochettino ought to be a big enough character to get a grip on it, even if he has a challenge with owners who appear to have strong views but do not appear well versed in soccerball. But they are the kind of club that is particularly susceptible to a few bad results snowballing into a crisis given the level of expectation and they have, again, had a big turnover of playing staff and are taking chances on young players with limited premier league experience. There's a lot of pressure in particular on Jackson as I am not sure they really have another fit, established striker.

Based on what I've seen so far this season, I don't think Arsenal are all that good. Obviously they're better than most teams in the Premier League, but I don't think they look like a team that's going to give City a challenge.
Also, I don't understand why Palace would go after Henderson. I don't know that Henderson is much better than Johnstone, the dumb penalty he's just given up notwithstanding.

I like Guaita more, but there seems to be relationship trouble. Don't think Johnstone will do it for them over a season. Henderson is to replace Guaita, and will be their number one.

Arsenal will challenge for the title. Arterta is fucking around with formations and it's not working. Thomas Partey is not a defender.

The two yellows were a bit odd. So playing with 10 men against a Palarse team at home is probably quite difficult.
Henderson cannot pass the ball. I like Dean but think I prefer the American. (yes I said it. I wasn't sure until I saw him play the last two games and he's been pretty solid...)
