I can’t recall anything to do with racism and a google search brings up plenty of reports (and later disciplinary meetings) from that day with no mention of racism anywhere.

Looks like we both might have recalled different bits correctly. This suggests there had been at least an initial suggestion of racism but Akinbiyi was on the record a couple of days later to say that wasn't the case.

I think there had been some history between them at an Ipswich v Norwich match (possibly a reserve game).
IIRC wolves scored from the free-kick which sparked the headbutt, with the guy Vaughany would have been marking scoring it.
I think the ref (Stephen Lodge) claimed an assist - and then sent Prutton off later in the first half to seal the deal for Wolves.
Only game I’ve left early - left after about 65-70 minutes as the second half was like a training session, neither side putting any effort in, just kicking the ball around amongst each other. -

As a result of seeing this I've just learned something even better. Everton have a club shop at the Liverpool One building, so they named their shop at Goodison Everton One and the other one one Everton Two, making their address Everton Two, Liverpool One.
Magnificent.

I'm not a betting man, but if I was I'd have a few quid on Brentford getting relegated. After starting reasonably well they're looking tired and lacking in ideas, I'm not sure Keith Andrews has the experience or ability to make the changes needed, and I don't think they'll be able to make additions in January that will make the difference.

Assuming the bottom two are gone, there's enough fight/experience to suggest that both Leed and WHam could catch an unwary surprise act. Looks like it won't be us, but Brentford, Bornmouth and even Fulham shouldn't be too complacent. Newcastle are too much to hope for.

If a team is on 20 pts after 16, that's 1.25 pts per game. A relative chasm. 22 pts is 1 1/3rd - not going down (barring the complete arse falling out of one of them). The smart money would be on one of wet hams, leed, or us (in that order - no shit sherlock) - wet hams only get out of it if they aquire a couple of runners, who hit the ground running. Before kickoff I fancied leed to be in with a chance of staying up, on account of the big strong lad recruitment.
I make us around a 17% chance to go down (one chance in 5/6 in a three man race).

I would normally assume Leed, and obviously WHam are in deep.
But the form table really does put Bournemouth in squeaky bum land.

Since playing us Leeds have looked a lot better, they seem to have figured out what they can do and what they can't and they're not trying to outplay their abilities. As you say, big strong lad football. It won't win you the league, but it might win you enough games to stay up.
Bournemouth's form is horrible but Iraola has proven himself an excellent coach and I can see them breaking their slump soon enough.
Brentford look like a team in decline, I agree that it requires West Ham to figure out how to start consistently picking up points but I think Nuno might be able to do that.
