Hardly the first bit of public money to go into a private entity.

And also pretty sure it’s factually incorrect as I thought the money came from the Tories levelling up fund. On the documentary they got a bit jittery when Paul Mullin had ‘fuck the Tories’ on his boots as they feared it might affect the bid.

Edit: levelling up bid was turned down so did get the cash from local government grants.

It's pretty interesting to see how Chelsea are making Everton look very pedestrian. They look awful, yet handled us quite easily last week. Hopefully we have learnt a lesson from our tepid performance at the Hill Dickinson. Chelsea play most of their football on the deck. Maybe we should try that against a bunch of hulking thugs in the return at the WFCG.

    Chicago: Chief Scout.

Dewsbury-Fall going off after 15 minutes probably helped.

Thought that a team of flourescent goalkeepers were playing wet hams.

Turned out that none of these things were true.

Wolves equalise in the 90th minute.
Me - bang goes my fantasy Arsenal clean sheet, but Wolves get a point towards the 12 mark.
    Arsenal score in stoppage time.
    Me - CUNTS.

Wolves seem to be in most games, in a way that derby weren't, they surely have to be able to scrape another 10.

As much as I dislike Wolves the club, I couldn't help but feel bad for Wolves the players. They were proper gutted when the arse scored late to take away the hard earned point.

I childishly despised Wolves after the the Dave Needham / Andy Gray League Cup final (because I was a child).
    There has been stuff since.
The Tony Vaughan red card for being headbutted by Akinbiyi.
The Michael Branch cheating cunt thing.
Kevin Muscat conning Ian Wright into a red card.
One year we lost in the last minute and I prompty loaded my FM save, created a new manager, took them over, sold all their good players for peanuts, spunked millions on shit and resigned again.
The only time I've been to the Moulinex was for a National Pub Quiz finals day hosted by Mark Labett. We had a nice time but came nowhere.
Anyway, long story short (too late) whilst I don't really hate anyone these days - fuck Wolves (but get to 12 points please).

    Just for giggles

They were four minutes from beating Brighton.

    image.png

They were in injury time beating Spursy.

    image.png

In injury time getting a point against Burnley.

    image.png

    And today.

    image.png

I'd happily have Wolves take Derby's record, though I still think it is incredibly unlikely. That's eight points lost, probably due to fitness.

I was at that game and remember thinking, in the moment, that it was one of the worst decisions I'd ever seen.

However, my recollection is that it came out shortly afterwards that Vaughan had racially abused Akinbiyi as they walked away from that early clash on the touchline. Would certainly explain Akinbiyi's reaction and, if true, Vaughan deserved to walk whether or not the referee had sent him off for that.

Not massively sure you are remembering things right here.

I can’t recall anything to do with racism and a google search brings up plenty of reports (and later disciplinary meetings) from that day with no mention of racism anywhere.
