I think you are right about the recurrent oedema. But it is a finding rather than a diagnosis in itself. It can have lots of causes, I don’t know if the primary cause has been identified.

I think you are wrong about our best double pivot, it’s Luiz and Anderson.

It would be a much better position for him.

It might be. We don't have sufficient body of evidence for that though. The evidence says it's Dominguez and Anderson.

It's been almost paint by numbers funny how Martin O'Neill fixed Celtic, and a new manager immediately reverted them to previous type.

Seriously? You do remember Ange Postecoglu, I assume? You know, the Ange Postecoglu whose record at Forest reads P8 W0 D1 L7 F7 A18? If that's "not being in such a state", I'm not sure I ever want to see Forest in a position you'd consider bad. Meanwhile, Dyche's record now reads P10 W5 D2 L2 F14 A10 & half our fans (on here at least) seem to have decided that we're totally doomed with ⅔ of the season to go. Don't they, Guru?

I get that we didn't play well on Saturday & that's fresh in everyone's mind, but the wrist-slashing is just a tad out of proportion, don't you think? Sure, we won at Goodison 2-0 last season, but our league record away at Everton over the last 80 years is P40 W6 D10 L24 F27 A76. Clough won there once in the league (the opening game of the title-winning season)... in 16 attempts.

    Get a fucking grip, people.

Don't think that is quite right. I can't be arsed to check obviously, but I remember draws at Betis and Burnley.

Ange was awful don't get me worng, but the correction (let's just try and practice a bit of defending) seems easier than West Ham who in some of the pre Nuno and early Nuno games I saw looked terrible everywhere.

And it's not just losing at Everton but the manner of the loss, as well as Brighton and Wolves. We looked poor in all those games

I'm with Guru, we may have peaked at Liverpool away..

I think it's correct in saying (I had a quick scan, errors not impossible) that prior to the everton game we had the best form (over 5/6 games) in the bottom half of the division.

We lost a game. I'm sure that people weren't previously this reactionary. Destabilising programming might appear to work.

It is highly likely that we peaked by winning away at Liverpool. I think the last time that we won there I was in nappies. If we ever win there again I probably will be wearing them then as well. If not pushing up daisy's. Yes, that's a definite peak.

We wont go down with the ginger prince leading us into battle.

There's a Crusades/Constantinople joke going if anyone wants it? £5.

We had 5 from 8 when Dyche came in, now we’ve got 15 from 15 and we’ve made up ground on everyone up to Manchester United. Mad to think we were better off then.

  • 8 Dec 2025, 7:19 p.m.

I'm not sure who is saying this? I'm saying that I think Nuno will get West Ham going well and that they will finish above us and the reason they aren't doing better than us currently is because they were in a worse state than us when he took over.

    September 2024?

  • 8 Dec 2025, 7:30 p.m.

Twists and turns, Natalie. Football isn’t linear. Most of the teams around us will be up and down for the remaining 23 games, we weren’t destined for the top half when we beat Liverpool (as I said at the time) and we aren’t doomed now we’ve had a bad week.

After this week, we go to a spell when everyone is playing as often as us and we should (hopefully) get a few back in the playing squad. If we’re still looking as bad when we get to the Braga game, I’ll start to worry more (and argue for tossing off the EL games with the kids).
