Looking forward to the football regulator preventing this from happening in the future.

  • 24 Oct 2025, 2:42 p.m.

Unlikely a regulator will have the power to privatise football clubs.

The best they can hope for is to stop things being any more fucking terrible, which is where the FA failed in it's governance, and the horse bolted.

There's a lot of them who seem not to have noticed, and are constantly bleating about things that they are never going to get. It might help if reality is spelled out to them.

He's already said he won't do anything that risks the Premier League losing its status as "the greatest league in the world", which is a bit like saying you're going to regulate the City of London but without doing anything to damage its status as a global hub for money laundering and financial crime, or you're going to address ecological collapse but you won't do anything that prevents growth. I wouldn't hold your breath.

When Wednesday reached the play-offs after he took over, they were wanking like chimps over him - selfies in the ground, singing his name, lording it over everyone about how good their owner was. They seem to have forgotten this.
It's a warning about how easily things can turn.

First thing the administrators did when they took over this morning was have the white seats spelling CHANSIRI removed from the stand and replaced with blue ones. Wednesday fans are apparently buying tickets again in volume.

And they live streamed it on social media to a significant audience of fans.

  • 24 Oct 2025, 8:17 p.m.

Nuno is having a similar start to his West Ham career as Impostercoglu did at Forest. They look atrocious, 2-0 down after 15 at Leeds and thoroughly deserved.

  • 24 Oct 2025, 8:39 p.m.

Wet Sham score and then might be ruled out for offside. Nuno looks very Ange at the moment. Just standing there, looking expressionless. He looks defeated already. Good Fuck him. He engineered his way out of Forest and we have the Ginger Prince. Also having teams worse than us helps too.

    Chicago: On an upward trajectory.

Are you even slightly aware of who owns us and some of his habits? We may choose to ignore it because of club affiliation but rumour has it he is quite an unpleasant chap with a track record of being a bit shitty.

Both things can be true though. Our owner has some dodgy business practices and Nuno also behaved like a cunt to get a multi-million pay off because his agent and Edu’s agent don’t like one another.

I love Nuno but he still behaved like a prick.

  • 25 Oct 2025, 10:38 a.m.

Engineered a way out, sure. Still not buying the agent wars narrative, and I'm surprised people accept it so unquestioningly.

Anyway, I wouldn't be hugely shocked if he gets another payoff soon, the way West Ham look. Did I read that he hasn't been able to take his staff? That rarely ends well.

I heard a lot of abuse regularly went Coopers way from a range of sources. I doubt it was different for Nuno.

  • 25 Oct 2025, 11:24 a.m.

“He may be unpleasant and shitty. But he’s our unpleasant and shitty.”

Seriously, you wouldn’t have to do much diligence to find that out before you decide to lie down with EM. These guys know what they are getting in to. Some of them may have the chutzpah to think they can get the better of him but it’s always unlikely. I’m not buying the theory that Nuno is an angel. He was highly effective for us and then decided he didn’t fancy it any more. Will we ever know whether it was EM, Edu, Agents, fear of unrealistic ambition? Whatever it was, he engineered a way out and fucked us over. He’s chosen to lie down again with some unsavoury types at West Ham. There’s a bit of FAFO for him

There is a norm of hard faced business unpleasantness in the industry. Also a reasonable expectation of competence and basic conduct. Our owner has more than once suggested that the former has been lacking on occasion, particularly with recruitment, and the latter absent.
Oddly, he's not the "worst" owner in the Premier League. But he owns my club so I have to have an utterly hypocritical blind spot.
If I'm not getting the key players I need and I'm being called a cunt, I reckon I'm going to say something eventually.

  • 25 Oct 2025, 4:12 p.m.

Plus he came to us from Saudi, where I assume all the owners are a little distasteful.
