Just realised the bottom two divisions start today. Think I'm actually quite in favour of giving them a weekend to themselves. Although the fact I've only found out about it today suggests it's not working brilliantly as a strategy to give them the limelight.
Strictly speaking they started last night. I watched a bit of Luton v Wimbledon and it was absolute shite. Though pleasing in a way to see the annoyance that was Luton 2 seasons ago where they are now.
I'd missed this. I went to pick up our Notts season cards this morning and there were 2 buses for away fans and I thought that seems a lot of effort for a friendly.
With the usual caveats (pre-season friendlies don't count and it wasn't their 1st team) Direby lost 1-0 at Forest Green Rovers thanks to this goal. x.com/RealEFLSocial/status/1951398324684341405
The 'low' price is presumably only such because of the high wage commitment. So you can't really consider where you are in terms of 'value' without taking those into account.
Despite looking a decent athlete, as @RC observes, he is unfortunately not a footballer. The price for what is currently effectively a youth prospect, with perhaps at best 6-8 productive years ahead of them, assuming a massive and immediate development upturn. Your direct comparison is someone like Evan Ferguson. Hard to see how you come out of that one (the manure one) ahead. I would definitely be looking to get another one, value wise.
