Jota Silva is from the same town as Diogo Jota and was at the wake today.

Liverpool should sign our Jota to replace theirs. 50M should do it.

You think the met are making these decisions based on his contractual status? That would be a huge scandal if it could be proved.

I'd say it's quite possible people in the CPS/Met are Arsenal fans/connected and it sways the decision.

This is corrupt UK we are talking about.

It won't be proved, but it's a remarkable coincidence, at least, that his contract just ended.

It's not impossible, but I personally think it's less likely. What is more startling is that the Met have brought forward some rape charges at all.

It would still be terrible but it wouldn’t surprise me if they’d delayed a couple of weeks and gave Arsenal a warning. But if they’ve been waiting the two or three years since the first stories, that would be appalling.

On the stroke of HT PSG's Donnarumma collects the ball through Bayern's Musiala, whose foot ends up pointing at an angle that suggests he's fucked for months.

    Anthony Taylor. Bizzy little fucker.

I'm actually glad Bayern's last gasp penalty was overturned to deny Kane another tap in. Contributed little, missed his 1 headed chance and lost the ball for PSG's goal.

Yes, absolutely. Any delay is unjustifiable.

Why would a delay of a couple of weeks help Arsenal? Given he's been running his contract down and they knew he wasn't staying, it might even have helped them if he'd been charged earlier so they could have released him and got out of paying the last couple of months of his contract.

Because he was still actively playing in their first team?

Their first team hasn't played in over a month. Their title chances were blown at least three months ago.

Simon said "it wouldn’t surprise me if they’d delayed a couple of weeks and gave Arsenal a warning" and I'm struggling to understand why it would have mattered a jot to Arsenal if he'd been charged in mid June rather than early July.

Just less embarrassing if he's not under contract to them.

Didn’t they offer him a new deal that he’s only just turned down?
