Seems a bit pointless - wouldn't it be clearer to let the EFL handle any charges for that period?
I'm sure there's some sort loophole to disingenuously / blantantly dishonestly exploit somewhere.
They ARE former EPL Fairytalists after all, lest we forget.
Changes to the rules mean the PL can now handle those charges.
Are they going to give them a point penalty for this season, when they are already down? Or wait for them to next be in the PL? Or apply it to their Championship season next year?

Expect legal challenge to the validity of retrospective rule changes to claim jurisdiction incoming.

Why not all three?
I think the correct answer is deduct however many points takes them to 10 in this season and then to start on -20 for the next 5 to fall within EFL and / or EPL jurisdiction.

I believe that there is a cut off when a sanction will not affect the outcome in the current season, after which it is applied in the following season.

OK. So just skip to the good bit then.
Relegation to League 2 and start the season on minus 25.
Seems like Brighton and Bournemouth have something to play for this season.
That'll be a lot of people cheering for a Forest victory on Sunday.
Which I think puts to bed the idea of us finishing 7th, Chelsea winning the conference league, and us still getting Europa..

I'm bored of points deductions. Goal deductions are better. Leicester to start every match next season one goal down.

I don't understand how, in one of the scenarios given, if Chelsea finish 6th and win the Conference League and Newcastle finish 7th, both qualify for Europa league? Why would that scenario not apply to us as well?

The way this is going, entry into European competition is going to court. Hope they sort it out quicker than PSR and blatant cheating.
