Can I add 'marginal frustration that we could find / didn't want any January signings?
No?
Well I'm going to anyway.

So at what point does this become an acceptable debate we could have and not be accused of being entitled?
Presumably we need to doff our caps reverentially in mid table for a decade or so before we dare to hope of Europe?
Or is that entitled too and we should be grateful to be just clear of relegation every year?
I don't get why wanting the best outcome from a situation (even if it was an unexpected place to be) is entitled and seemingly wrong.
Unusually Mince is spot on. It isn't misplaced entitlement to be mildly annoyed about missing the CL, if indeed we do.
Don't disagree at all. But I look at Palace's team today and it's about as good as ours, and that probably is true of all the teams from 7th to 12th.
We have to accept that in the first 30 games, we had a fair amount of luck as well as playing exceptionally well. There's been a bit of reversion to mean since then.
And yet Palace were quite low down the table early on. What changed?
Can't disagree with that.
Probably the opposite of what happened to us. Although they started the season with Nketiah, rather than Mateta, I think? Eze tired from the euros, Guehi distracted by transfer talk?
And Wharton injured
It's possible to feel all these things at once:
- Grateful for not being in a relegation fight
- Grateful we're in the PL full stop
- Pleased that we're going to get some European football
- Annoyed we've fucked up getting into the CL when, from the position we were in, we should have done.
Sorry. The last one borders on deluded optimism. Or hopeless naïveté.

We tried. We couldn’t.
Like my earlier response, at what point will it ever be ok to be disappointed at not getting Champions League if not this year (having spent more than half the season in those spots)?
Three quarters of the season, losing out on last day, five years of losing out on the last day?

Point 1 - if we miss out.
Point 2 - if we lose the qualifying play off.
Point 3 - when whatever Europa campaign ends.
Point 4 - every single point inbetween all of the above. Naturally.
Useless petro queers. The only thing they needed to do was deny Palarse Europe. Having said that they (CP) totally deserved it. They have good fans too and Citeh are cheating, filthy mardy cunts. Pep wanting to pick a fight with hero Hendo. Hilarious. What a prick.
Hopefully their season totally collapses and they finish 7th.
Luck has deserted us unfortunately but hey ho I have no malice against Palace. Congrats to them.
The bad news for them is that the big boys are going to try and pick them off. Wharton, Eze, Matetta the Colombian defender Munoz and Marc Guehi too.
Anyway…
Chicago: Not surprised.

Totally ok to be disappointed. I am. Most non-big-six fans I meet are also disappointed for us.
I’d challenge the concept of “annoyed that we fucked it up.” For many reasons.

Not to be all woke and stuff, but that's a fairly needless homophobic way to kick that post off. I'm sure you're creative enough to find other terms you could use.
Depends in what context you wish to view it I suppose. Could be an attack on Qatar’s human rights record….
I don’t consider it homophobic because it isn’t… unless you call the community you are referring to as queers which I don’t..
Something can be gay and queer and nothing to do with same sex relationships and intercourse . But hey ho. Also it winds people up easily as witnessed by your response. Although it wasn’t cross you considered it something that it wasn’t.
Anyway fuck Citeh, can I use cunts? Isn’t that technically an insult to women? Yet causally tossed around on this site.
Hypocrites the lot of you.
Chicago: Equal opportunity insulter.
