And our chance of getting relegated is even slimmer, so bring it on.

I guess I'm viewing this season as an anomaly and we start next season again aiming to not be involved in a relegation fight, same as start of this year?

And then overlaying extra games onto that.

But the flip side is as you say, need to seize on European adventure as who knows when it might present itself again.

Is European football a good or bad thing for us?

I like the idea of it, but fear the harm it may do to our league form.

Mid-table mediocrity combined with a run in Europe - where do we sign up? If you consider where we were only 4 years ago, and spent 20 years in League 1 and 2* I’d snap your hand off right now.

Yes I know it’s the championship…but of course football only existed since 1992….

A good season, followed by mid-table mediocrity with a run in Europe, sounds familiar? We'll be bottom the season after.

We really don't have a Collymore this year though. While we'd definitely be worse without 4 or 5 players, no one of them is the lynchpin, with MGW being closest.

I’ve been convinced that, counterintuitively, we want Chelsea to beat Newcastle on Sunday.

Reason is the next games. Chelsea play United, which you’d think they’d win easily, while Newcastle play Arsenal away, who’ll still be playing for a place. If Chelsea win both, they’ll almost certainly already be in the champions league when they play us, just before they play the final of the conference, so will likely rest a few.

Obviously, we’ll still need to deliver but that’s our best chance.

I think what we certainly don't want is a draw. Which is odd, as you'd think removing 2 points from both of them would be good, but we're in last chance saloon now.

I love the fact that Inter won that. They snatched victory from the jaws of defeat. As talented as Barca are and Yamal is other wordly they are a mardy bunch of whiny cunts. Especially Pedri. That twat needed a good headbutting.

Milan I thought had fucked it when Barcelona came storming back but somehow managed to pull out a last second equalizer. Strangely after looking knackered in regular time looked the best bet in extras.

I don't begrudge the Italians that final berth. Up to PSG and Arsenal to put on a show tomorrow. Even though I hate the Arsenal fans because they are entitled twats I don't really like Petro state clubs like PSG either. Although it's funny that half their stars left and they became much better.

Anyway best game of the season tonight. Great stuff.

If only Forest could put on a show like that for the next three. Got to live in hope.

    Chicago: Football fan.
